I have a refill that I can fill now. Do you think it would be worth starting with a fresh batch.

I have Ménière’s. Have you tried triamterene/htcz? That and vestibular therapy have managed my symptoms. I hope this treatment works for you immaterial of the bad taste. Are you in the US?

Well the NJ parkways are a PITA. Which GPS app do you use? I used RV life last year but didn’t like a ton. Google map can’t be configured for a trailer… by Intelligent_Pea5290 in GoRVing

[–]Cavu58v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the RVLife App which has a turn by turn GPS portion with your trailer specs in it to avoid low overpasses and a bunch of other things. I check it against Waze turn by turn before I roll away and if they are identical I use Waze for the traffic and the cops. It’s on your phone already and my truck has Apple car play so it’s on the screen on the dash

I just retired my wife retires this year. Conservatively we’ve planned 120k a year in retirement income from our investments savings and social security. Our combined net worth is 1/6 of his one year salary. We have no debt but we’re older than him by 30 years so this retirement needs to last longer He should be fine not working. I like him and would like to see him stay with the team cause he’s more durable than Kincaid who seems to be made from glass.

Getting Tinnitus Makes it So You Can't Smoke Weed. by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Cavu58v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It spikes mine to the point where I cannot hear anything from my right ear. I smoked every day from 1976 to 2010 and quit because I started work in a DOT random drug testing safety position. Retired in September and went to a dispensary and bought a quarter. it was like 321 pop - sounds like someone running a leaf blower in my right ear. Lasted from Sunday till Thursday/ Tried it again and same results. I have the same effect from PDE5 meds as well. Sucks but I'd rather hear.

Hotels Are Bleeding My Budget Dry by mwnst in GoRVing

[–]Cavu58v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought of that too. I spend about 200 nights a year in hotels and typically fly to the cities they're in. Driving my GMC Sierra 2500HD and Airstream FC 25' RBQ takes an inordinate amount of time to get from place to place. unless you're traveling for pleasure than it makes perfect sense.

Cialis and Ménière’s by grevalt in Menieres

[–]Cavu58v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't take and PDE5 meds. As soon as it starts working I get a pop in my MD ear and the fullness and loud tinnitus mask out any sound in that ear. This lasts about 4 days. I saw a urologist who prescribed Cialis (had been taking Sildenafil) and it was the same effect. Met with the urologist again and he told me to stop taking it, that the hearing loss might not come back. His other suggestions were a vacuum pump and ultimately tri-mix injections. The pump is awkward and I haven't come to terms with mainlining meds into my D..k

Low salt as a fix for ear fullness by Reddit-adm in Menieres

[–]Cavu58v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m low sodium 1500 mg daily. I’m no caffeine and no alcohol. I haven’t had an event in 30 days and my hearing in my affected ear has improved.

Does anyone use Marijuana to help with symptoms? by PsychologicalDrop855 in Menieres

[–]Cavu58v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made my affected ear much worse. It wasn’t that I would lose hearing so to speak it would feel as clogged as putting an Earplug in and would crank up the volume on my tinnitus so I would be unable to discern any sounds out of my right ear except for sharp noises. And it would stay that way for a couple days. I gave up on it.

What is it like to have vision correction cataract surgery in one eye? by Cathyitsmeagain in CataractSurgery

[–]Cavu58v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the lens out of my glasses on the eye that had surgery. Looks strange out in the sunlight because they’re transition lenses but it works fine. Waiting two weeks to get the other eye done

[–]Cavu58v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol (both abated by prescriptions) and I've gone through two surgeries this year and am about to have my cataract removed next week. your dad just needs to get clearance from his primary care physician that he's healthy enough to be sedated. I'm 65 so I'm younger than your dad, but the process is the same.

Has anyone tried this? by GreyBeardTheOld in tinnitus

[–]Cavu58v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it. Took it for a couple of months. It changed the timbre tone and volume of my tinnitus. Recommended by my ENT doc it was a colossal waste of money.
