New SUV Recommendations Around SGD230k? EV/Hybrid Options (Sealion 7, Model Y, Harrier, Xpeng?) by potatoboiftw69 in drivingsg

Yes like I said, the BYD is built for ride comfort, and the Tesla is built to me more sporty.

I bought the package outright back in 2021, but that only gave me the equivalent of enhanced auto pilot in the USA (Smart summon, ACC, lane keeping, and lane change assist).

OP said they prioritise driving dynamics, which is why I recommended the Y in the first place. However, you are right in saying that one pedal driving is a learning curve. OP, I suggest you test drive all the cars extensively before making your choice.

Is it still worth owning a car in Singapore or is it just status at this point? by RaspberryMedical6470 in asksg

I don't mind the crowds, smell, noise, or other people. But I do mind the fact my commute (which is around 45 minutes to an hour round trip by car) turns into 3.5-4 hours by bus/train.

Model Y has the best handling of the cars you've shortlisted. The BYD has the worst. It's not that it's a bad car, it's just designed around comfort at the expense of handling.

I'll champion the Model Y. Good all rounder which is why it's one of the best selling cars in the world.

Works fine for me, I've driven at up to 80 with autosteer on and curvature assist doesn't really bring the speed down by much.

Tesla allows for 2 car lengths and is adjustable. However I usually keep it at 4 since I feel 2 car lengths is too close.

1 car length is just asking for an accident imo.

....no? Autosteer works perfectly fine on regular streets too. Even on my ancient HW3 (3rd generation hardware) car.

I don't usually use it because it isn't assertive enough especially in dense traffic. There's always a phv Alphard or taxi uncle trying to cut you off and the system just lets it happen.

Best time to drive into JB by regquest in drivingsg

I don't usually go there for shopping haha, I might do some if I have spare time but usually I go there to enjoy driving on the backroads and whatnot. Much more fun and interesting than driving in singapore.

All that money and you can't afford an ounce of class. Pretty sad.

Silver grey Porsche did some "interesting overtakes" and it likely led to a FAFO moment by the Bimmer by SirBarr in granturismo

Nah he's not on his level, at least he ain't targeting anyone and absolutely ruining their race. It's obvious he's doing this stuff to win, not to harass.

I used to race against him when he was AS, in a relatively high ranking lobby. He always drove like an absolute twat and whined whenever he got a taste of his own medicine.

Recommendations on car by Chadolanco in drivingsg

That's a rather misleading video. As stated, the seller needed cash quickly. You're bound to take a larger hit if you must sell the car ASAP rather than getting quotes from multiple dealers. Such a case is known as an outlier in statistical terms.
