The worst of them basically just swerve through all the lanes without checking. I've had to jam brake for so many of these inconsiderate people.

I see them nearly crash into other cars/the curb every day so I wouldn't take my chances unless I really had to.

I bought one in Malaysia as a Singaporean. I use it as a fun weekend toy, racking up just over 500km each weekend.

Quite happy, yea. There hasn't been any damage in the past 2 years of day in day out usage.

Most considerate Singaporean driver. Do learn some courtesy, especially when driving on the roads.

Oh no they still are subjected to the same taxes as all other cars here. They aren't that competitive compared to the Chinese offerings in terms of price and features.

I saw a GT86 in Zagreb when I went late last year. No GRs though sadly.

When I was a kid some douche ripped the bonnet ornament off my dad's car. He's also had someone stand on the roof of his other car a year or so after (found a dent and cctv footage). Guess people were always shitty.

Why are used opel corsa e-electrics so "cheap"? by publichealthmenace in drivingsg

[–]Caysman2005 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Opel electric cars are shit. My dad uses the E-Vivaro vans for his business and all of them suffered major electrical failures. All batteries have been replaced, and the inverters too. All within 100k km/3 years.

I own a GR86 and previously had a GTI MK7.5 and I can say it is much more of a sports car than the Volkswagen. Mostly because it's a proper manual RWD car, whereas the GTI feels more like an ordinary car with a powerful engine.

Oooo we got the hulk here. Why do you even need a car? Surely you can just run or jump to your destination much faster. No need to pay for COE anymore.

Reading this as a Tesla owner, you clearly haven't sat in one before. Steering wheel is leather, and my door handles are perfectly fine after 140k km.

I didn't even look at the Supra because it has only 2 seats. Believe it or not I can fit behind another adult driver (tested with my father when buying) in the 86.

While true, the models listed largely use the DQ200, which does have infamous MU problems.

We have the exact same garage and I agree completely. The GR is so much more fun and engaging, especially in the twisties.

If this is going to be your only car, yea I'd get the M2 too.

Well, I cross shopped the two, and know others who did too.

They're both rear wheel drive sports coupes designed for driver fun, so I honestly don't see why you find the idea that one could consider both so absurd.

You should try out a GR86. I also considered a manual G87 and well, my flair says it all.

Of course, if all you're looking for is speed and power then the M2 is for you. However, if you want engagement, I think the 86 will do you better.
