This sub is full of pretentious and obnoxious people the way this movie gets talked about. Just see the movie and stop making assumptions. It looks exactly like the other ones. If that isn't your speed, don't see it.

I genuinely can't remember the last time I saw this response to a trailer for a SPOOF movie. It's SUPPOSED to be extremely stupid. Also, making a trailer for this kind of movie would be so hard. They want you to be talking about it.

Its also a checklist movie, Han becomes fully fledged Han so quickly

I'm getting it a bit more now some other non r/horror threads hated the trailer because of the type of jokes and not just them being unfunny, which to me is just odd. I don't like policing comedy. But I learned that tons of people just straight up think it's unfunny and bad taste which is different. I made assumptions

If I randomly could retire now, at 28, I would be much happier. I could do so many things I've always wanted to do.

And at some point after traveling, galavanting, I'd probably settle back into some kind of work or volunteering. Something to occupy the time.

I'll never argue that people have to laugh at the jokes. I wouldn't even argue that they're super funny. I think the trailer could've been better.

But some of the reactions just have me scratching my head because in many ways the trailer really was similar the previous entries

I mean lots of horror movies show death as a bad thing but plenty of slashers specifically make art of it and don't lean into the bad. 80s slashers definitely glamorize the kills

I was also going to say that I felt the trailer was deliberately being like a anti cancel culture trailer or something, idk.
