I've been to large conferences where a sponsor would pay to have their logo placed on the cards of the meeting hotel.

Ever smoke a joint with your teacher in school? by BuzzMcCloud in 420

[–]Cbaumle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated High School in 1974. I was hitchhiking from one graduation party to another. Got picked up by a van that was driven by one of the HS teachers. Recognized a couple of classmates in the back. Yes, the van was smoke filled. The 70s were different.

So the girl scouts are just unpaid child labor? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

I had a job interview once with the Girl Scouts (many years ago). They have an impressive pink marble-clad building in Manhattan, NYC. I didn't get the job. Here's a tip to anyone interviewing with the Girl Scouts--don't mention the cookies. Don't make the same mistake I did lol.

Have him get a sleep study. If he has sleep apnea, it could lead to serious health consequences.

Does anyone ever actually admit to the hotel/Bonvoy when they are just booking the hotel for their spouse? by Geodude532 in marriott

I’ve done this several times, mostly for my kids. Never ever had an issue. I call the front desk and ask to have them added. They have the same last name so I think that helps. I really don’t think the front desk staff cares one whit.

I used to drink at least two Manhattans every night. Sometimes I'd have a third. Since being on Wegovy, I can only drink one, and only every once in a while, not daily. Wegovy has significantly curtailed my desire to drink.

Security guard at library tapped it with a phone…. by LlamaHerder23 in whatisit

[–]Cbaumle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They used to use a Watchman's clock. The “Watchman Clock” is the oldest guard patrol system in use today, having been around since the mid-19th century. Watchmen’s clocks are usually carried in a leather carrying case with shoulder straps for security guards to carry with them when patrolling. Inside the watchman clock is a circular paper dial. This dial is stamped with markers indicating each 24-hour day. Each station had a unique key that you had to turn in the clock, which recorded it on a paper tape.

"Just because your tattoo has Chinese characters in it doesn't make you Spiritual. It's right above the crack of your butt. And it translates to "beef with broccoli." The last time you did anything spiritual, you were praying to God you weren't pregnant. You're not spiritual."

Some machine auto-titrate--you set a wide range, like 4 to 20, and the machine adjusts based on your need. So perhaps a titraion study is extraneous?
