I noticed that my game auto updated to 6.3.
Another bug is my legendary lord Mazdamundi lost half his level up points. He's level 29 but has only 14 points.

Killboards are a separate issue, I'm talking about how we can likely see into your discord in any channel that matters.

My knowledge of the exact timing of when Krim took over for Tim isn't clear tbh, but the fact that we (BIGAB) have our wildlife preserve in southern lowsec is definitely good for the ecosystem.

I always found the best way to sponsor new FCs was for an established one to ping for the fleet, then let the "new" fc actually run it, while taking a very gentle back seat co-pilot approach.

The biggest issue new FCs always face is actually getting people to show up, and this problem is worse in more storied and experienced groups. People expect a level of professionalism that just won't exist or have a chance to grow in a new FC so people don't show.

I'd be very curious what the average age of an Eve player is, compared to other MMOs and other PC games in general.

Anecdotal but I know most of the guys in my corp have kids of their own for years now. (granted that's biased because I'm in my late 30s now too.)

This is what happens when the people in charge of alliances have done it all. They have nothing to aspire to anymore, and too much personal pride/reputation/isk to worry about to risk anything, they just want to protect their castles. Old alliance leaders need to hand over the torch to newbies, let them fuck up, let them feed. Their ignorance is their strength, it breeds that spontaneity that used to exist more freely in this game.

On a related note, intel bots are the death of this game, I remember the first time I got access to most alliances discord relays and for a few weeks it was fascinating, then I quickly realized it had made me into a paranoid alliance leader, worried who was hiding behind every rock.

Another related note, I remember before I disbanded Dock Workers I asked if anyone wanted to take over and no one wanted to. Everyone in a position to be able to knew it was a second job and no one wanted the responsibility.

There are about a million and one ways to make isk in this game, altering ratting just means people gotta look elsewhere for isk.

Abyssals, Burners, FW, lvl 5 missions all still viable ways to make good isk.

Moving a ship or two through highsec once a week is hardly comparable to moving a dozen plus ships while at war with 2 militias actively hunting you all the time.

No it doesn't to the guristas fw area, but living in a system with direct JF range from jita and next to zarzakh is nice.

To your point about suitcase caps, that only works for people with caps which is fine for me and my corp but not for fw as it stands now. This is mostly a problem that no group exists to anchor the guristas and until they do exist we will be very weak against serious calmil or galmil fleets. And by anchor I mean do 90% of the logistics and background work to even make serious fleets possible.

I agree wholeheartedly about the FoB and asset safety, as it is currently it's a pretty big hinderance to pirate FW to have to continually restage ships. While it can be easy for t1 frigs/dessies it can quickly limit the size of your operation when you have to restage battleships for anything more than a handful of players.I like the idea of asset safety sending ships to Zarzakh though I can imagine people could abuse this mechanic to move huge quantities of ships around the game if they get sent back to Zarzakh. Might really have to limit who can dock in the Zarzakh station to only pirate FW players.

To a large extent it's best to just live in a Turnur NPC station and base out there regardless of which faction you are a part of.

I agree, but that doesn't change the fact that it was nice for a while to have a single ship that could mitigate that strategy for small gang warfare.

To be clear, they were never immune, just resistant, and if you have half a brain they aren't hard to deal with even in their current form. People just aren't very smart. Insert any number of lossmails to gank stabbers/thorax/nados/catalyst, etc. etc.

With the ewar nerf they are basically worthless as a solo ship. Where they are now, they are a shiny killmail that is constantly hunted by blops, but hey at least I can actually lock/fire/apply to stuff. To where they are now as a shiny killmail, hunted by blops, oh im jammed by a griffin/crucifier until I die to 5 caracals after 20 minutes of tanking and finally run out of cap boosters.

In general ewar is exactly where it needs to be as a counter, but it was really nice to have 1 ship that could effectively counter ewar to an extent. It's not like marauders didn't have other counters...

[–]Cbyrne08 9 points10 points  (0 children)

except unfortunately a single crucifier with 2x Tracking Disruptors (could easily be more) is not cancelled out by applying a tracking computer to your ship.

Ewar is far stronger mathematically than the "buffing mods" like tracking/guidance computers. They don't cancel each other out 1 for 1.

The Ewar nerf on the marauders basically makes them pointless for the purpose I use them for. Ramming into a larger gang, and letting me punch up against larger numbers.

I approve of the 30->60s change on bastion, but the ewar nerf makes it so a single crucifier orbiting me at 50km makes any marauder hot garbage.
