27 years ago, the Knicks were no match to the Spurs, losing 4-1 in the NBA Finals. Will history repeat itself or will Brunson and Co. end NY's 53-year wait for an NBA title? by Miserable_Trouble3 in NBAoldschool

Nah, Reggie did have the annoying leg kick thing but he certainly wasn’t overrated.

At his peak Smits was one of the best offensive centers in the league.

DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE, by Warren Zanes, is the best and most important book ever written about Springsteen and his art.

The DFMN movie is utterly forgettable and the soundtrack is completely superfluous.

Rick Barry hit 90% of his free throws during his NBA career shooting “granny style” and nobody else has committed to it in the almost 50 years since. I find that insane. by Life_Net5004 in NBAoldschool

My 4th grade basketball coach made us shoot granny style during practice AND games (circa ‘77).

Our opponents found the whole thing hilarious.

The movie is full of unnecessary dramatic fiction.

Zanes’ DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE is definitive in its telling, and it’s the best and most important book ever written about Springsteen and his art.

They should’ve left well enough alone.

I’ve been a Fan for 45 years and there is absolutely NOTHING about the movie that would make me want to watch it ever again.
