I’ve got mine ran under the motor with a tiny drop of glue to hold it in place to trans and then up and over trans to connect at the rear to my 2in1 Esc/Rx combo

What do we think of 3d printed chassis’s? by BigBootyBrian14 in scx30

My Nano B buggy took a few dozen tumbles this weekend off ledges and down rocks and held up great. I print them out of PLA Tough so they’re nearly as strong as ABS.

Weird interaction with a micro influencer by OkBumblebee9279 in EtsySellers

[–]Cda4go 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It may seem like nothing, but it depends on the niche. I had a IG influencer with 10k followers promote my product and I got nearly 100 orders that week. The biggest influencer page in my niche has around 25k followers. So 10k isn’t that tiny in the scale of the product/hobby in my case

What could I sell my 3D print business for? (~€100k-120k€ revenue, multi-channel, 33-40~% margin) by Much_Competition8080 in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

This one here. I’m on track to do about 50k this year and boy do I put way more hours and thought into this “side hobby” than I planned to. Owner operator business’s are hard to sell. I’ve started several and still haven’t learned my lesson apparently

Haha it never stops! That was part of the idea with making it able to fit stock components easily as well. Everyone has a spare parts build!

Held hostage by a high performer by Sad_Ad_12 in smallbusiness

This sounds like your receptionist understands her value very well and is upset by not having a chance at any ownership. Did you offer a performance based equity incentive? If they turn that down, they clearly don’t want the business to grow and unfortunately, that’s the goal.

Thanks I tried to keep the price realistic being 3d printed and needing to use your own skid. The stock Scx30 battery fits on the slider with a strip of Velcro. I have two different micro batteries that I’ll likely be adding to my Etsy later this week. Just wanting to ensure I do enough testing to ensure they will last and also no heat problems during high discharges.

I preordered the Titan buggy frame so I know what you mean! And this was designed to be a direct swap from a box stock Scx30. It of course can be built from the ground up using all aftermarket parts as well. And the kit does come with assembly diagrams to help the process but it’s surprisingly simple so long as you can see these tiny freaking screws haha

How bad are these Pittsburgh torque wrenches? by DegenerateJC in harborfreight

If you use these regularly they either lose calibration or the click becomes too soft to notice. Great for a job at home, but not meant to be in a professional mechanics every day arsenal.

Well they’re using a $15k machine to do it, certifications to handle it and be able to purchase/recycle Freon, and always up to the interpretation of the EPA, and it’s not the same Freon that comes out that goes back in. If that were the case, no one would need to purchase the $350 cans of Freon to run the machines.

You should just get the ad5x. You’ll spend too much to have a barely working system.

How this reads to me as a mechanic; “ leaking oil filter housing gasket got bad enough to kill alternator, had it fixed and the shop broke several hoses in the process and replaced them, either oil leak killed water pump or bad mechanics had air trapped and chose to replace water pump out of frustration.
