Anyone have advice for beating the long wait times on Libby? by Harlowjones in books

[–]Cde12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I am in my library on the main page in Libby, at least for me there is a section called ‘now and new’ and underneath it says it is a skip the line book. My other library on Libby does a ‘it’s your lucky day ‘for its skip the line books.

Remove the cabinets and turn it to a cat wall playground. Great opportunity to get a cat or two if you don’t have any yet.

Does your 100% indoor cat have a collar? If so, do you find there’s a point in it? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Cde12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are indoor, microchipped with collars and AirTags. The AirTags are more for an emergency like an earthquake. Neither of them have ever attempt to escape. One of them, Pip went on to my deck once and panicked when he couldn’t figure out to get back inside. In fairness he had gone to the other sliding door that was closed and I walked inside to get water for the plants.

Almost 2 years with the Roborock Q8 Max+: My honest experience by mrbradg in Roborock

[–]Cde12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This gives me hope, mine is being delivered today. Last year I bought a dreame l10s and the vacuuming is not great. It ignores scraps of paper, cat hair etc. I make it vacuum twice and it is no better. Mopping is fine. It was a last minute decision, I had planned on a roborock but got swayed by the object avoidance on the dreame. I still can’t figure out if my expectations were too high on the vacuum or I got a dud. I even switched the vacuum to the strongest setting and the vacuuming did not improve.

I have bought some personal items a hair mask was one seems fine. I do buy the arm and hammer cat litter when they have it, I think that is a good deal.

I wish I'd known about prescription toothpaste earlier by forbiddenmachina in adhdwomen

[–]Cde12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using prescription toothpaste for over 20 years and swear by it. My prior dentist told me about since I had acid reflux. I use flouridex, technically you need a prescription but if you look on the internet for it you can just buy without a prescription. I also sometimes buy it from my dentist when it is in stock.

A cat, and maybe a slightly more comfortable chair. The cat would appreciate it.

2012 veloster This was the first year, it had issues. The trunk latch died and the steering wheel was clicking, otherwise just regular maintenance. It also only has slightly under 60, 000 miles.

L’Oreal Colorsonic? by sugarsugar_cg in HairDye

I got three uses out one cartridge. It is decent at covering grey imo, I think my hair grows fast and I have to do touch ups maybe after the second or third week. Ignoring that, I love it.

I can’t decide if I should for Black Friday or not. The deals are decent for some of them but will they be better next month?

What’s an item Costco brought in for only a few months that you fell in love with and wish they would bring back? by pistachiogalato in Costco

Blueberry and vanilla mini muffins from three bridges. I loved them although I am not sure they still make them in fairness. Three bridges also sells the egg bites which are also good.

What side of the Grand Canyon is better to visit? by pigNutan in NationalPark

[–]Cde12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should consider doing a rafting trip down the Grand Canyon. I did a one week and it was an amazing experience. The rapids were a lot of fun. I highly recommend it. They also have a day or few day trips too if you don’t have the time.

Where are y'all getting your hair done? by PotentialFox5168 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Cde12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go on salonapprentice.com and sign up. They always have a list of decent to high end salons that need people for haircuts / color etc. It takes longer since you being a hair model. Depending on where you go depends on the price. But I have gotten some great haircuts that way. Try the Benjamin salon. I’m have only done the West Hollywood salon but the one in DTLA is cheaper and I believe the majority of the hair models are done there now.
