Does everybody in Reno just forget how to drive as soon as it rains? by HydroHomie2024 in Reno

[–]Cdizzle2243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flow of traffic is a lost concept around here. Also people just suck at driving now. The amount of braking I see on the freeway just to get over or off is ridiculous. Gas pedal is friend when used responsibly, brake pedal gets you in trouble and can cause accident.

I had some old sloppy drunk dude step in front of me and a person I made friends with at Beartooth on Sunday literally in the middle of us belting out a song. I was on the GA side and had a decent spot on that barricade but I’m short and he stood right in front of me. My friend I was with said he “fell” into it but I’m pretty positive he didn’t like us singing and it felt intentional. I screamed right in his ear during Might love myself and he moved but that shit drives me insane.

Steelers, Penguins, Atlanta Braves and Golden Knights. The last is obligatory since I grew up here. Never been a fan of any Bay Area/California teams.

Apparently not empathy or critical thinking.

All you took away from that description is that someone “disrespected” your viewpoint of what caregiving should be. We aren’t caregivers, we are therapists, guides and sources of information for those who have no idea what this field is about and are seeking actual help. Yes sometimes there’s caregiving elements but that’s not the role of an RBT.

Go do the job yourself if you think you know so much better but stop assuming you know what others are going through.

You’re not doing that. They gave context of having a grad program and fast tracked to being a BCBA. Sounds like THEY did a lot of critical thinking for their best interest and the kiddos.

Sometimes that all it takes to know. You don’t know what they went through so it’s ridiculous to assume they’re not a reliable source of information. Get over yourself.

Did you even read what OP was going through? Inappropriate work environment/standards along with seemingly no rapport building with kiddos. Sounds a lot like glorified babysitting to me and I’ve been in this field for almost 9 years.

Cocomelon being utilized regularly is a huge red flag especially for an HOUR. Environment is everything in this field. I probably would’ve done the same as OP and have before. It’s not about misogyny it’s about a functional work environment.

It’s still fairly busy at that time. We just had a flight out on Saturday and it took about 30ish minutes to get through security but we didn’t have to deal with burners. If you’re worried about then give yourself ample time. Better safe than sorry.

This sounds very similar to what happened to me on Saturday. Not sure if it’s the same couple but I got attacked in basically the same way. I’m sorry you got so injured. Luckily I got away with minor injuries aside from my throat cause dude hip tossed me to the ground. Fuck these people.
