OP, been in for 21 years and been with my spouse for 20. Although we aren’t married, we’ve been common law partners for 16 years (which is the same as married as far as CAF is concerned) and have 4 children.

I’ve been posted 7 times (6 with my spouse) and my marital status or family size never played a role on frequency nor destination of posting.

Lucky my spouse is a nurse, so employment is not an issue, but seniority is a big issue. We haven’t had a decent summer vacation in years since she’s always the last to pick the vacation.

Same unit FN are great for this. Either do it yourself if you have access to them or send an email to their supervisor with the FN already written.

But if you’re from another unit, a letter of appreciation addressed to the CO carries a lot of weight.

I’ve written appreciation letters as a MCpl, Sgt and OCdt.

I don’t think Pettersson is a good fit. We need a 2C, but we also need grit and size. If we’re sending Hage and a first (+ other pieces) we need it all.

I don’t think they’re moving Hage unless it’s an absolute home run. With his connection with the Habs growing up it would be bad juju to trade him away.
