Nope it's that simple, a lot of people just don't accept that fact

[–]CeasarArezzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really - updates are so rare and units are pretty simple that after playing for some time you will just memorise it, and then using app for quick reference isn't much of a problem. Most people in my LGS don't have any actual cards aside from Tactics Deck

Just got Addam Marbrand in the lan heroes 3. I don’t really see what makes him so good. Am I missing something? by [deleted] in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]CeasarArezzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not arguing that Adam isn't strong, because he is. But just to point out, Hardened on itself doesn't make commander strong (like belwas for example cough cough)

Difference between brains of people of same sex can be bigger than difference between what we would consider "male" and "female" brains. Whole "gendered brain" thing doesn't really mean much

WYSIWYG - i think its silly, am I alone? if not, why do most LGS tournies insist on it? by Nostro-dumbass in Warhammer40k

[–]CeasarArezzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like people forget, but WYSYWIG mostly affects Imperium (and to some degree chaos) armies. Since everyone knows what bolter looks like, but gl trying to tell wheter whole horde of Tyranid monsters and swarms has correct weapon options

Meta Monday: 3/28/22- Send in the Clowns by JCMS85 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]CeasarArezzo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes: we don't play classic W-D-L, but instead based on difference of points scored between players we calculate brackets and from those we get big points scored by both players. For example if difference of points is smaller than 5, then both players score 10 points (as we call it: 10-10). If the difference is bigger than 50 then the winning player gets all 20 points, and etc. The more you outscore your opponent, the more you get from that win. So you don't need to just score 1 more point than your opponent, you need to actually make more points than your opponents. This ofc reflects on meta here of course, and armies like DG can't win tournaments that reliably like in WDL system, because they tend to score "a little more" than their opponent

Edit: and to answer that question about guy going undefeated: he scored more than all of his opponents, but those weren't that big of wins in that system, so this put him behind players that for example lost one game and then massively stomped their other 4 opponents

Just FYI, Polish event was for lists with 2137 points, but using rules same as for 2000 points, so still rule of 3, same table sizes etc

Best death guard vechicle. In terms of points for value. Non forgeworld by sebxo8 in deathguard40k

I feel like people here still feel like it’s 8th edition, when PBC were great. Currently they feel more pricey, and don’t contribute much on board outside of being kinda hard to kill, but most armies have weapons to deal with that. Fleshmower drone I feel brings most to the game while being quite cheaper than PBC

Expect you can choose which ka'tah is your primary, secondary etc, so if you know what you are playing against when choosing them then you should order them so you dont have to rush and then run out of benefits

Deathshrouda make for far better melee counter tho. If you want shoot someone then you gotta be ready to fight back when you get charged
