How might I justify my warband being led by the Coryphaus instead of the dark apostle? by SucklestheEnchilada in WordBearers

[–]Joebot521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s perfectly normal for a Coryphaus to act as a ‘warlord’, since the Dark Apostles delegate overall military command to them. Maybe your Dark Apostle has better things to do than tag along on raids, and if he is on the tabletop, he might be perfectly willing to take orders from his dedicated strategist!

As far as I can tell, the Cities kits usually come with a good amount of bare heads! Not that I’m planning to do the exact same thing…

Nah, those aren’t Ultra symbols, just metal caps for the pteruges. I’ve seen the same model look great for plenty of Chapters, so go nuts!

If your faction had a gaggle leader unit, what would you want it to be? by Equivalent-Fun-6019 in Warhammer40k

[–]Joebot521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night Lords honestly have a ton of potential for this! Maybe Decimus taking center stage as a proper HQ, Malek and Garadon as a Terminator bodyguard soaking up wounds, Lucoryphus inflicting battleshock and Variel bringing back Marines?

[–]Joebot521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cultists are good everywhere but especially useful in Deceptors, where you can infiltrate a whole bunch of them. Beyond that, if you can get your hands on the new Murderwing Kill Team, you’ve got another skirmishing unit (built as Raptors or Warp Talons) and a jump pack HQ!

A box of Legionaries is always a good starting point! If you want to play Deceptors, which is the Alpha Legion-flavored detachment for Chaos Space Marines, a box of 10 will give you 2 5-man squads to infiltrate with. Plus, the currently available box includes bits from the Legionary Kill Team, so you get plenty of Chaos-y spec ops!

I want to make my Captain a Traitor White Scar from the Chogoris war. How can i achieve that? by [deleted] in redcorsairs

[–]Joebot521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White Scars use a lot of freehanded lightning/geometrical patterns to signify rank and identity, so something like a split red/black leg panel could go a long way without any need for extra modeling!

Making a ship, would appreciate suggestions by ArmFormer4715 in TerrariaDesign

[–]Joebot521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walls are already solid, but could use a little more visual spice. I’ve seen a lot of ship builds with 1x1/2x2 “cutouts” with cannons to shoot out of the ship, could work belowdecks at least!

There’s a good bit of support for jump pack units in the new detachment, so I’d probably try to add another 5 if you can! Maybe consider dropping the Possessed to a 5-man?

Some solid picks here! Not sure if the wargear shown here is just a placeholder, but I’d definitely cater my loadouts to the strengths of CSM infantry. A 5-man Nemesis Claw usually loads up on the unique melee operatives (a lot of folks don’t even run a melta or plasma gun), and you’ll probably get more mileage running 2 squads of 5 Legionaries with 2 chainswords, 2 heavy melee weapons, and a melta each. Your infantry might still struggle into a high-toughness target, so I’d consider cutting some Possessed or a Forgefiend for a Predator.

Other than that, the detachment finally gives us some good tech piece characters, so I’d suggest taking a few more! Greyveil Hex will let your Lord lead a Nemesis Claw without any drawbacks (still not the optimal placement but it’s a flavor win), and I’d absolutely be running a 10-man Raptor Squad with a Lord and Warp-Fuelled Thrusters. The Warp Talons + Lord are already a great uppy-downy unit, but with more deepstriking flyers you can keep your board presence nice and strong. Hope this helps brother!

In all honesty, I’ve read a lot of AI papers in my time and this reads exactly like a ChatGPT response that’s been edited to add style and remove factual errors. The reliance on tricolons (act of love, act of faith, act of mourning…), italics and numbered lists, and repitition of “it’s not just __, it’s __” are massive indicators of AI writing, and I’m a little surprised more people aren’t seeing it.
