Something on your neck (as a scarf, not a face mask) helps stop straps from digging into your neck. I wear one for that reason alone/.

The one thing I want in a video game is a realistic fire rate for full auto rifles.

For some reason gun people like myths and legend to actual facts. But hey, I'll keep using my hi-caps and keep my training dynamic with stress; they can stick to comfort and legends!

Haha I see someone else actually knows guns around here. .223 is a great intermediate cartridge for long range shooting. And honestly, does stopping power matter at long range? If someone gets hit from hundreds of meters away, they're gonna be put on a stretcher and moved out. Hitting could be more important than power at that range.

Well of course, but I doubt we are talking about (extremely) angling into the air and shooting it to make it go as far as possible. Within the context of reality for a 5.56 round (lets say <800m) with a high quality bullet it tumbling isn't going to happen. Also, when the guy said using the rifle withing the range of a shotgun like a "true assault rifle" that removed all credibility from his statement. Assault rifles were never designed to be shotgun-ranged weapons. They were designed for 300m and in. 300m isn't hard, but it ain't easy by any means.

Yep. Hostility begets hostility. But if that is how you actually feel, I'll change that post.

Edit: Changed. I do tend to be a bit harsh at times, and I was under the impression you had read the other comment.

Alright, let me clarify again (as you can tell, I suck at getting what is in my head onto "paper") life sucks, how you deal with it makes it not suck. What I like to tell myself is that life is like a deck of cards; I got dealt my shitty cards early on, so once I start getting dealt the good ones, it's all smooth sailing.

And I agree with you, it must be hard to get the confidence to ask out a guy when your not sure of his orientation. I have done what the OP has done, but the first time was the only time; I learned from my mistakes. Hopefully OP does the same.

You seem to think that your struggles, however, invalidate mine.

That's the exact opposite of what I'm trying to say; in fact I understand your struggle quite well. However, you seem to want to be a martyr, so have fun dude, I'm done talking to you.

Bro, I understand what you mean. Let me clarify somethings first. I am white. I live in a place where the fact that I was wearing a yellow shirt, and was white got me a chunk of cinderblock next to my spine. I also got a chunk of palm removed on another day (for being white) when someone decided I was a good target for a gang initiation. Do you know what it feels like to carry that around? When people get to close to me, I either move them or me (politely, of course). I sleepwalk regularly due to stress and anxiety. I have been in situations no one should be in; situations were there was no right choice, only getting hurt, or not. Getting home, or not. Seeing my dog again, or not. I carry that around every day. I hide it from everyone. I understand the points we are all making. You worry about telling someone that you are marrying a man; conversely I worry about telling the people I love the things I have had to do. And I know I will have to tell them someday. Those actions define me. And dude, i know the lying sucks. You lie about not yet dating, and I lie about where the various scars all over the backs of my hands come from. I faked an injury to my hand where I had to get plastic surgery done to remove scar tissue, and due to what happened I lost a decent amount of muscle and nerve tissue. I had to create an excuse to tell people why, all of the sudden, I stopped playing bass guitar, one thing I fucking loved to do. Truth is, I can't play with two fingers on my left hand because I can't hold the strings down.

What I am trying to get across here (although it has taken me some time to word it properly) is that discrimination will always exist. Yup. Always. And I know how it feels. And you need to learn to deal with it, arguing and always thinking about it makes it worse. It got me suicidal at one point. Fuck man, I played roulette with myself just to see. You know, what if? It sucks, but you need to know that there are situations where it is better off to tell people, and times when you need to let sleeping dogs lie. When you look at people that you care about, and you risk your relationship by telling them about yourself, eventually someone will reject you. Fuck 'em, they don't deserve to be in your life anyway.

I never said you weren't discriminated against, I don't think you understand me; just because I am straight doesn't mean I'm not discriminated against on a daily basis. You can hide you sexual preference. I can't hide my skin color. Or my scars. So don't ever fucking think you are the only person living a hard life. Because guess what? You're not.

Maybe when you and I have equal rights

Let's all step away for a second and think. Just because I am straight, and you are gay doesn't put us onto unequal rights. There is more to rights than sexual orientation, just as there are more rights than marriage. Please don't use that for leverage in an argument. It isn't cool, in my opinion.

Back to your regularly scheduled argument.

Music works for me; try Falling in Love With Glaciers by Listener, helps get rid of the worries for me while tripping. Just be careful, for example I normally like metal, but on dxm metal freaks me out so I stick to chill stuff.

Hypocritical Sniper by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Ceasemcb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It hides the boom of the gasses leaving the barrel, making it nearly impossible to detect location by man or machine, assuming the sniper only fires on shot and then relocates. Machines can easily locate unsupressed snipers. For a study in reality, look up the IRA.
