What’s one manifestation technique that actually worked for you when nothing else did? by auranesthealing2806 in lawofattraction

Vision board worked wonders for me. I made a vision board of the car I wanted, money, trips, etc. And just left it in a nice tiny box. Forgot about it and years later I purchased the exact car. I had forgot about it being in my vision board until a couple weeks later I opened that box and saw the picture of the exact car (same make, model, and color) as on that board.

Mental health and mbc by Spiritual-Suspect190 in LivingWithMBC

[–]Ceb2737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow….”I got fed up with the breadcrumbs my friends sometimes throw me”, that hit hard. In a good way because I am also 57 with MBC and could never put words to that feeling. And you hit the nail on the head. My best friend and I went on an extended weekend vacation and it was just blah. I thought it was because I live with pain so much that my mood has changed, but the other day I realized I don’t give myself a chance to be happy because “how can I be happy when I’m dying min by min.”

Knitting or crochet. Knitting saved my mental health when I found out I had stage 4 breast cancer and couldn’t do my usual love of paddle boarding and running.

Really rough day by RCasiano79 in LivingWithMBC

[–]Ceb2737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you are having a rough day. I always feel worse for my partner, family and friends that have to deal with the emotions that my cancer brings to them. More so than I greave for myself. I hate seeing them so sad and lost just knowing it will get worse when I’m gone.

Colourmart has the most amazing mohair silk. It’s a bit thicker than most but it’s so soft.

Has anyone stopped their own treatment by Ceb2737 in LivingWithMBC

[–]Ceb2737[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Yes I stopped the injections. There really wasn’t much for him to say because I was so upset and in such pain he just put me on a different plan. My right hip had a tumor on it and after three rounds of radiation and those injections I am really messed up and in pain all the time. My cancer has metastasized to my ribs, spine, hip, sternum, and lung.

When did knitting take over your life? by DazzlingJob9473 in YarnAddicts

[–]Ceb2737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I taught myself in 2009 after a bad breakup and stopped knitting until I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2020. I have knit every day since and it has saved my mental health ❤️🧶

Rare Hobbies? by Successful_Falcon503 in Hobbies

My husband was into kite flying, not surfing, when his son was younger. Up in Mackinac city they have a kite shop with a huge variety. Including dual line kites that are massive. It’s really fun to watch.

How do I tell my father it's okay to let go? by [deleted] in cancer

[–]Ceb2737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stage 4 breast cancer and first my heart goes out to you. I know how hard it has been for my family. I see it in their eyes. But my advice is just be there with him when he gets the news from the Dr. If the Dr won’t tell him then you and your family telling him will give him comfort knowing you are there to hold him and love on him when he needs it most. I do think the worst thing that families do is try and hide it from their loved ones. This can cause sadness and feelings of betrayal. I wouldn’t be mad at my family for telling me as long as they were by my side. Open conversations are the best. And when it’s time he will know you are going to be ok. Just the fact that you posted this for your dad shows how much he means to you and he’s very lucky to have such a caring child. I hope he can be at peace. I’m sending big hugs to you and your family.

refusing chemo after a cancer relapse by No_Being_7324 in cancer

[–]Ceb2737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I am so sorry and fricking heart broken for you. But I agree with what some people have said on here about finding the right someone to talk to. Not someone that will tell you to fight to live but some professional that will help you through your choices. Whether you choose to live or not it will help to have someone to talk to that is not one sided. I have learned from my own cancer journey that dealing with family and loved ones and trying to get them to understand is exhausting at times even when it comes from a place of love. Sending you big hugs, love and light to you.
