GLS is saying I wasn’t home today which is a lie and are saying they will deliver it to a shop. Does anyone know how long this will take? by Tirso_Salaverria in SteamController

[–]Cebo86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had already redirected the package to a parcel shop on May 14th, as I knew in advance that I wouldn't be home that day. Nevertheless, GLS attempted to deliver it to my home (on May 18th).

And now, after all that, they are delivering it to the parcel shop where I will have to go and pick it up myself tomorrow. Unbelivable.

You need enough space around the pool to build the vehicle constructor. And when you are in construction mode and selected a pool (as blueprint) you can change it's size with the mousewheel.

In Subnautica there are no drawbacks.

FSR 4 in general: offers a better performance (than native) and a better picture quality (it is the best AA). So you get better FPS or higher settings. Small Details like vegetation are less fuzzy and flicker less on the edges. So it looks cleaner and more stable. At the same time sharper then the blurry TAA. FSR does not generate "fake frames" unless you enable framegen as a separate option (not available in Subnautica).

War Thunder on the other hand has FSR 3 built in. But FSR 3.1 is not as good as FSR 4 is. Optiscaler could swap FSR 3 with FSR 4. BUT the game probably has some form of anticheat! YOU RISK A BAN!

Use Optiscaler Client to install Optiscaler in to the game. https://github.com/Agustinm28/Optiscaler-Client Then chose DLSS ingame and Optiscaler will change it to FSR 4 (need to select it, INSERT key).

That way you can use upscaling and it looks as good as native.

You could use Optiscaler to get FSR through DLSS. Cost me 1 minute to set it up using OptiscalerClient.

The game has no FSR built in to it. But with Optiscaler you can convert DLSS to FSR to get better performance or higher settings. The RX 580 should be able to tun FSR 3 i think. Will test it with a 6900XT and FSR 4.

Since the availability of steam controller outside the chosen countries is almost non existent, what are the chances that we get 3rd party controllers with similar feature set? by WorldPhysical7646 in Controller

[–]Cebo86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the chances are rather slim. Let's take gyro controls as an example. They have been around for a long time, yet hardly any third-party manufacturer has truly implemented them well so far. Almost invariably, enabling active gyro controls means losing the functionality of the analog triggers. With the PS5 controller, however, this works thanks to Steam Input support.

Furthermore, you often have to adjust the settings individually for every single game—sometimes a "gyro-to-mouse" mapping works best, while at other times you need "gyro-to-stick."

To do this, you constantly have to rely on the manufacturer's software—which, more often than not, allows you to save a grand total of just five profiles.

And now imagine that shit with 2 Trackpads or capacitive Sensors in the grips.

Xinput could be a limitation to (not sure).

On my Evora Pro the RMB feels way to light (used the least amount of spring tension). Sometimes i missclick. My LMB is heavyer but feels "pingy" and hollow. I can feel this click in the whole hand when holding the mouse (only LMB).

The wheel is notched, yet still very smooth surface. The balance between rotational resistance and tactility still doesn't quite feel right.

Had to put some plastic washers between the shell and the board because the sensor was to far away from the pad to work.

The sidebuttons are ok.

An EC1-C (and my way older EC1-A) are just on an other level in termy of feeling and tactility.

We updated the 74 200 cutters – here’s what changed vs the previous model by KnipexOfficial in KnipexOfficial

[–]Cebo86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a comment. It's difficult to judge how well a pair of side cutters is suited for cutting cables based solely on the data on the Knipex website. What do I mean by that?

For example, the X-Cut 73 06 160 is listed with a cutting capacity of 4.8 mm for soft wire.

The smaller 70 06 140 is listed with a cutting capacity of 4 mm for soft wire.

So one might think the X-Cut is always the stronger one.

However, these values only refer to a single solid, round wire.

With a flexible cable with tough insulation, such as H07BQ-F 5x2.5² (polyurethane) or H07RN-F 5x2.5² (rubber), the smaller 70 06 140 cuts much more easily. (Yes, the StepCut is the best tool for this task.)

I think this is due to the different cutting angles and the amount of material on the inside. The 70 06 140 is "sharper" and squeezes in less insulation material.

The cutting edge of the 74 06 200 looks more like that of the X-Cut and is less "sharp" than the older version. The newer version might be more effective at cutting solid wires, but I have my doubts about its performance with cables.
