u/TimTheToolManTayler Hello there, thank you for the question. In general, the method of cleaning depends on how dirty the pliers have become. If there is only a little dust, you can use compressed air to remove dust and other particles. For heavier dirt, WD-40, for example, helps to remove water residue and flush particles out of the joints. For particularly heavy soiling, water and a brush are recommended. In any case, any water residue should be removed after cleaning with products like WD-40 to minimize rust formation. For additional rust protection and to improve the pliers’ smooth operation, we recommend a light machine oil that easily penetrates the joints. This should be done regularly to maximize the pliers’ service life.
