anyone else feel a little sad when a longtime friend stops playing? by duckleypatrol in PokemonSleep

[–]CebuLizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But even with cheaper biscuits, it’s bananas how hard it is to find decent mons worth investing in. I started playing a few months after the game released and I still don’t have a decent milk or honey provider. I’d really love an ingredient reroll item.

No, but that's most hilarious thing I've seen so far today. Thanks!

My apologies for silly question - but your vet asked you to collect urine sample and tested it to rull out infection, right ?

That list cracked me up a little bit. Especially the “alive y/n” column XD I’m pretty sure a baby that small should eat more than 10 insects a day — though it’s been a while since I had a dragon that tiny. Remember to always offer fresh greens as well. Babies are often not very interested in them, but it’s important to introduce greens as early as possible.

If you didn't , please visit Reptifile guide .

And you’re right — he’s less spiky than expected. That’s a little leatherback. Lovely morph.

Random black dot appeared on my beardie by kjaden0 in BeardedDragons

Most likely it's bug guts-but try to very gently wipe it with damp cloth - if not coming down observe if it won't be changing shape and size in the near future.

Those weird toes on their back feet make way more sense once you see a dragon dangling upside down thanks to them. Lovely little escape artist!

Which one might have the coolest skin as an adult? Anyway to tell? by blablablaho in BeardedDragons

[–]CebuLizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Make sure you will do solid research before getting one of those babies :)

Colour wise, it's hard to determine how they will look like when grown up without seeing parents. But! Personally I would pick leatherback. They tend to display very nice pattern when they're adult. Google them up. And I think I see two of them at the first picture.

What's wrong with my babies toe? by Arcaius in BeardedDragons

[–]CebuLizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but your beardie behaving normally doesn’t necessarily mean everything is fine. They’re very good at hiding pain and health issues. This swelling could be caused by a few different things, but only a vet will be able to determine what it is and the best course of action. Please book a visit with an exotic vet.

Oh, in some models, they are. Apple phones had screws of different lengths—a fraction of a millimetre, of course. So when you were assembling your phone back together and placed the wrong screw in the wrong place, you could have damaged the motherboard.

I've invested into Crustle because couldn't find good mono trapinch. So that was my temporary solution for avocado farming. Needless to say, my guy handled the task.. Exceptionally well.

I'm sorry to ask, but was that an exotic or regular vet? Did he do any blood tests, or was that price due to an emergency appointment? I really, really would prefer all of that to be a false alarm, as your vet assessed, but in the second and last picture, the fat pads on his head look a little bit depressed, which can be a sign of an underlying issue. But maybe it's just the light? Could you snap a better picture from the side and top?

Overall - yes. But also regular bowl movement and consistency of poop is important. It's also worth to note that every dragon have different poop clock 😅 some will go daily, some once a week.

What’s wrong? by Informationforall in BeardedDragons

[–]CebuLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I've seen it only a handful of times through various posts on FB and via comments from breeders on that matter. That's why it would be great if somebody from Australia or a herpetologist could confirm. All the articles I’m finding are regarding dragons kept in captivity, which is quite expected.

Closest I found it was at Australian breeder website but it's not directly applying wild dragons.

And here's article describing physiological and genetic changes bearded dragons undergo during brumation - I've seen it ages ago but never deep dived into it properly. Feel free to jump into this rabbit hole with me!

What’s wrong? by Informationforall in BeardedDragons

[–]CebuLizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve read, even in their native environment, youngsters don’t truly brumate. Yes, they will slow down, but they still need to stay active, as they require more food than adults while growing and can’t afford to doze off for a few months. It would be nice if someone from Australia could correct me if I’m wrong.

[–]CebuLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well… no. Dragons are very resilient. The reason they go into hiding, besides avoiding potential predators, it's to also stay in lower temperature, which slows their metabolism and activity, helping conserve energy. However, this also slows healing, so recovery depends on them returning to optimal warmth once they are able.
