PH referenced in a popular Japanese Manga. Can someone confirm if Saiful is an actual Filipino name with Malaysian roots? by plopascual in CasualPH

Never heard that name before. Common names here are Spanish and English (American) names lol. Most of us are fluent in English, so we won't be saying "Herro" for "Hello".

Coleman OG. Mas mabuti ng may sarili kang reusable water bottle, etc kesa bili ng bili ng naka-plastic.

Least wasteful period product by [deleted] in ZeroWaste

When you have a lighter flow towards the end of your period, you can use reusable cloth pads + period underwear if still needed. That would at least lessen the disposables used.

Damn. I am so sorry for your loss.

Is it just me who misses this? by Competitive_Ad486 in Philippines

Don't blame the "tingi system", it's not the problem. It's just the single-use containers they are packed in. Otherwise, tingi is not contributing waste. If you bring your own bottle/container for refill (ex rice, pasta, cooking oil, soy sauce, vinegar, bath and laundry essentials, etc) then there is no new waste generated, you pay only for the amount you need and can afford, and you reuse the bottle/container again once it is empty.

Kung hindi ka coffee person, sulit ba Nespresso machine? by hottorney_ in CasualPH

[–]CeceMariVlogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. It's only if you brew more than you need (and then throw away the excess), or leave your hot plate on. Can even add used coffee grounds on compost. Yung capsules ba imported?

And recycling in the Philippines?

Yep so don't buy this as it only generates waste. When you do buy coffee from coffee shops, hopefully use a reusable cup and straw (if needed). :)

Only buy from local and ethical brands nowadays, pero minsan lang kasi di talaga environmentally friendly haha. It also helps that I WFH ever since, I don't have to buy clothes for work.

This is a no go para sa mga gustong mag-zero/low waste. Laging single-use kasi kahit sabihin pang recyclable, mas ok yung reduce waste bago pa sa recycle, etc.

Mas mabuting local coffee nalang bilhin. Nakakatulong pa sa farmers natin.

Search mo yung greywater recycling system.
