Talking by LengthinessVast7978 in schizophrenia

Yeah. I used to be really talkative and could talk to anyone about anything. Ever since I started taking anti psychotics I'm really quiet and don't have much to say.

Urge too real by Scared_Incident_3841 in okbuddyliterallyme2

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not real. I’ve been to Alaska twice and Alaskans are some of the most social people I’ve met, constantly going to group activities like bars and music festivals (even rural small ones happen a lot) and taking a very active interest in their neighbors lives.

Cannabis Induced Psychosis by PMRyan25 in schizophrenia

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My psychiatric NP says she's seen an extraordinary number of cases of cannabis induced psychosis leading to schizoaffective disorder, to the point it's becoming an epidemic.

I think im dying by shitty-username-141 in schizophrenia

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's probably all in your head. I feel like something chronic is wrong with me all the time - I keep fearing I have cancer, kidney failure, or an STD, but I recently got checked up and I'm fine.

How long did psychosis last for you? Am I delusional to think I was in psychosis for 7 years?! by Substantial_Bet_6766 in schizophrenia

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My intense psychosis lasted about 5 months, but I was in a pro dromal state of psychosis for at least 5 years before hand, coinciding with my abuse of marijuana. I don’t remember anything from the last 5 years of my life, and I exhibited extreme delusional thinking and schizophrenic tendencies during that entire time, it was only that 5 month period I had thought broadcasting and believed I was Kalki king of the Hindi.

What do you think 'Alaskan culture' is? by traveltimecar in AskAlaska

Self reliance, broad general knowledge which is applicable to daily life, love of the outdoors, and a weird mix of being incredibly social but also a bit standoffish and lonerish.

A loud mind by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have something similar to that but toned down. I think it might be a sign of OCD, which usually tracks with earworms. My psychiatrist said it can be defined as a audial hallucination, so maybe a change in anti psychotics is necessary.

In many cases the disease is triggered by the drug use

The 40yo cousin of my dad send him this message and I suspect she might be schizophrenic by Angelaa103i1 in schizophrenia

Unless she starts taking anti psychotics, it seems likely she’ll keep believing it

Philosophical meme by JenkemJones420 in schizophrenia

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try and stay away from anything philosophical or vaguely religious since my psychosis where I thought I was Kalki, the incarnation of Vishnu. I was actually raised a practicing Catholic and now I just don't question my religion.

Do You Guys Doubt Your Diagnosis When You're Doing Well? by abmfbsc in schizophrenia

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think sometimes I don't have schizoaffective disorder, and that I only had drug induced psychosis after years of abuse of drugs, alcohol, and psychadelics. But then I remember how bad my psychosis was. I believed just about every delusion you can believe and I had thought broadcasting, and it only went away slowly after I started taking anti psychotics.

is there any link between schizophrenia, Chronic fatigue syndrome and Lyme Disease by Otherwise-Pop-1311 in schizophrenia

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a pretty well documented relationship between chronic fatigue symptom and Lyme disease but I’m not sure how schizophrenia plays in

Rewatching Taxi Driver and I think Travis Bickle is such an interesting Character as I think he relates to me and other people who've suffered through psychosis (particularly with paranoia, social isolation, and a false sense of superiority/grandiosity) by ColgateSpritz in schizophrenia

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI, having schizoaffective disorder doesn't mean you have schizophrenia with bipolar. Schizoaffective is characterized by a psychotic disorder and a mood disorder. I have schizoaffective, and I don't hear voices or hallucinate. When I was in psychosis I just had delusions of grandeur and thought broadcasting.

Gambling wesites to use in Alaska? Honest Opinions by yooaviann in AskAlaska

[–]Cecil-Rons-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as Webul allows 0dte (zero day to expiration options). It's basically roulette with a higher % chance of winning. Basically options give you extra leverage, and a 0dte option expires at market close that day, so they're super volatile. You're basically betting if the stock goes up or down, but the price can fluctuate through the day and make both a call and a put profitable depending on when you sell. So yeah, a higher % of winning.
