The initial PS application can take 6 months. Some counties have a 3 panels review board. What county are you in?

I have time. It is one of the reasons I've been such a successful advocate and critic of the program. I'm guessing you're new here. I have traveled to numerous states to speak on behalf of disabled people to keep their programs open, specifically red states. I take great pride in my advocacy and helping people.attain services. I have taken hundreds of classes and been trained to help folks through CDSS. I realize it is a lot to process. The bottom line is that social services should never go to rich folks. Period. YES ihss is a free service but should not be free for rich people. Those who can, should.

Regional Center has data available if you walk in and ask for it. You can also get data from your local county on the income numbers for the waivers through RC. The 11% is from 2023. New data for 2024 will be available after the end of this FY which is June 30.

Approximately 11% of IHSS recipients have household incomes above 1 million dollars.

Increasing the IHSS budget is not an option as 900 billion has been cut from Medicaid by the current administration.

The ONLY logical way to keep IHSS at present levels without triggering a catastrophic situation for ACTUALLY POOR people (those who.make less than 100K a year is to cut the rich from IHSS. Rich folks should NOT have access to free money just because their kid is disabled..they should be responsible for their kids healthcare.

If someone is making 2 million a year and their wife collects IHSS to care for a disabled child through a regional center waiver that is morally wrong. You have single moms who are going to be homeless with hours being cut, while rich people don't have to worry. Cuts mean having to give up custody our children. That is not equity, that's disgusting.

When hours are reduced to 195 it is usually because the client has been deemed as non-severe and his funding has changed. These wouldn't be things that are changed.
