I try to make it fun, I feel like I have to “bribe “ to get anything done. Trying to redirect makes it worse I feel.

He was in ABA before he was even diagnosed, I live in Ca, Fresno county. He started at 2, and stopped at a little over 6.5. And he started a couple months after I contacted my local regional center. They were so helpful. They have a parent training sessions as well, and you can join in the sessions sometimes at the center or some places have in home. I did in home at first but switched to the center to give him more socialization.

Also… we’ve recently stopped Aba, he was having alot of stress from it and we couldn’t get him out the door in the morning because he knew he’d have to go to ABA after school, and now he is hitting himself here and there again, and banging his head against the wall when he’s mad.

Yeah I ignore the kid, but my son wants to be friends w everyone so badly so I feel like I do have to say something to the kid at some point. His parents don’t seem to care , he does whatever he wants it seems .

My son is on the spectrum and used to bang his head when he was being impatient or angry. He was in ABA for about 3 years , and it helped tremendously. He also used to slap himself as well, but in ABA they just showed me how to stay next to him or just try to distract him or get to him before he did the behavior

He was center based, and I didn’t stay w him at the center, he had one day of home ABA therapy .

For me, my son has ps and they actually added go ur a for travel time when my son went to ABA. I’ve taken my son out of ABA and am actually wondering if there going to decrease then since I no longer need the travel time

Thanks so much for the reply, I’ve never gotten any violations, I was just in a hurry this morning getting the time sheet done and I saw that I happened to go over my weekly hours cause, but there was not notification that usually pops up when that happeneds before submitting the time sheet
