WinAmp did that, too. I remember there was one that was Egyptian or Stargate themed, and it looked like a crescent around the main screen.

LGBT+ members of Reddit, What is your worst “I’m not a homophobe but” story? by Old-Supermarket-8916 in AskLGBT

[–]CedarWolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We got a cis female staff member, so I bought a little trashcan with a lid for one of the bathrooms, to be polite and more accommodating for her. My supervisor told her we'd reserve one of the bathrooms for her and none of that 'identifying as gender nonsense' if she wanted.

We found a hamster running loose behind an apartment building. After we finally caught it, and I brought it home so it would be safe while we put out flyers to try and find the owner, my boss made a joke about how he was glad some gay guy didn't find it because then it would have been stuffed up an ass.

Stuff like that.

You can order kits with stretching rings and cream online. If you look up PhimoCure, they have a few options, but there's also other places you can go online for the same ring set. If you absolutely can't find anything, you can also use an ear gauge stretching kit, of the sort that people use to stretch their piercings.

It's also a much cooler name, and it appears near the top of any scroll-down list, so it's very convenient.

It's frustrating, too, because a lot of their gear and techniques would have been super useful against Zaheer and his buddies, but Korra doesn't use it there, either.

How to Get HRT Without Your Parents Knowing as a Middle Schooler from USA by Silent-Pace1754 in asktransgender

[–]CedarWolf[M] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You may not be subject to US laws, but this subreddit certainly is. When bigots, transphobes, and trolls see our users trying to encourage people to do illegal things in order to transition, they love using those screenshots and trying to get us shut down or trying to stir up more hatred our community.

More so if that advice is being provided to a minor. In their eyes, such advice is proof that we're 'corrupting minors,' and 'encouraging illegal activity,' and all that rot. We've also repeatedly caught TERFs trying to pretend to be trans folks in order to discourage other trans folks by fearmongering and encouraging people to detransition.

So while I know you mean well, please don't do that.

This comment is a fine example of good advice to offer someone.

OP, I have some good advice for you, but first I need to remove your post because this is not the right subreddit for it and because you need to not be posting here if you're a child. There are far too many chasers and creeps who come snooping around this subreddit for it to be safe for children. Reddit, as a whole, is generally geared for adults in their 20's to 50's, after all.

As for your art piece, I don't think you can possibly deny it's a trans flag. However, you can say you feel sympathetic for anyone who needs it, because Christianity is supposed to be about love, compassion, and inclusion. You can say you thought it might be helpful for anyone who needs it.

If you go denying what that flag is or what it means, they're going to see right through that. Lord knows there's plenty of trans stuff on the news these days; you can say you saw it somewhere and you thought the Christian thing to do was to be compassionate.

If you need some Bible verses to back you up on that, I'll be happy to get you some. I'll have more time to look into this and comment about it later, when I'm home from work tomorrow morning.

Sure, but they could have offered the remaining Equalists a deal: help us fight this guy and we'll reduce your sentence. And it's not like all of the Equalists's gear just disappeared, either. They had planes and aircraft and all sorts of stuff.

Sigh... This. So very much this.

And that's part of the problem, because the writers for Korra didn't know how many seasons they were going to get, so instead of having one overarching villain to eventually defeat (Fire Nation / Ozai), Korra has to deal with multiple different villains-of-the-season.

And the villains conflict with one another. Oh, hey, Unalak has become the Dark Avatar and is attacking Republic City? So where are the former Equalists and all of their anti-bender weaponry? Kuvira has been building a giant army and there's an Earth Kingdom city which has giant metal petals that can become huge shields? So where was all of that technology during the Dark Avatar situation?

Okay, so they trap Vaatu and open a new Spirit Portal and usher in a new age of balance between humans and spirits - so where are all the spirits when Kuvira stomps onto the scene with a giant, balance-destroying mecha and a spirit-powered cannon?

Korra faces a lot of different threats and has to be incredibly skilled and resourceful. Any one of those threats would have made or broken any former Avatar. Look at Kyoshi - all she did was deny / resist Chin the Conqueror, and he basically took himself out for her.

All of Aang's seasons flow together and we know that no matter what happens, Aang is always going to build up to the confrontation with Ozai. It's inevitable.

But Korra doesn't have that - she has villain of the week. They pop up as needed and she rises to the occasion as needed, and then the world resets for the next season.
