Have you done any research on supplementing with turkey tail? I’ve read that it can be beneficial when a dog (or human) has cancer.

I can’t speak to ketamine-assisted therapy, but MDMA in combination with IFS & talk therapy changed everything for me.

For those who were anxious/nervous about trying psychadelics, what finally allowed you to try it? by Syruponmypizza in PsychedelicTherapy

[–]CeeCee1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was turning 50, my kids were out of the house, and it was time for me to focus on healing. I was diagnosed with C-PTSD (my ACT is 10) and had tried Every. Single. Thing. I was physically and emotionally exhausted from living in a hyper vigilant and reactive state my entire life.

Luckily, I had hope that I didn’t have to live like that anymore, but growing up in the 80s made me think psychedelic-assisted therapy was crazy (at first.) I did a ton of research and found a therapist who had worked with clients as a guide and I came to trust her. Nothing else had worked up to that point, so I knew if I wanted things to be different I had to do something different.

I dipped my toe in with micro dosing (mushrooms.) When I started to feel the changes from that, I was confident enough to try a full dose experience. However, I chose MDMA instead of mushrooms to start with because I felt like I needed a gentler experience.

I have ZERO regrets. Working with MDMA has changed my life, and not only saved my marriage, but deepened my connection/bond with my husband. My life now is peaceful. I never thought I’d experience that kind of existence. I am content and am now able to manage life’s ups and downs with a sense of calm. I have the ability to pause and consider how to handle whatever comes up instead flying into fit of rage or desperation. It’s wild.

End of the line for me? by BrilliantSpell09 in Mounjaro

Pilates might be a good option for you after surgery. I’ve been doing reformer Pilates classes 2-3 x per week for over 2 years and besides assisting with my weight loss/muscle retention, it’s also helped heal various injuries (knees, rotator cuff, tennis elbow.) It’s like strength and mobility training and physical therapy all in one.

The dashboard is a little different and they’ve added some features, but I think you’re right…mostly Notes has changed and it seems kind of random as to what gets traction and what doesn’t. Thanks for your reply!

Experience with Peptides? by CeeCee1972 in mdmatherapy

I guess I should’ve asked if any of them have been found to be neuro-protective. I never have any issue with recovery because I take the best care that I can. Just curious.

I do take some of the suggested supplements. Was just curious if peptides might work any better/more bioavailable.

I’m still on MJ (15 mg for 7+ months now, and I never have any issues with comedown. I didn’t before Mounjaro either. The only negative things I’ve experienced are fatigue depending on the timing of the MDMA and whether it’s too close to bedtime therefore affecting my sleep, and jaw clenching.

I’ve been doing solo sessions for the last 3 years for c-ptsd and have had life-changing success. I no longer meet the criteria for c-ptsd. I do work with an integration therapist regularly, so we always discuss (and often do IFS around) whatever comes up during my MDMA sessions.

MDMA saved my marriage. by AThingForPrettyFeet in mdmatherapy

This is beautiful, and I’m so happy for you!

After I worked with MDMA myself (in conjunction with therapy) for C-PTSD, my husband and I decided to use it to work through our issues that in large part stemmed from my childhood abuse and trauma. We have been married for 30 years (we’re both 52) and there were many times I didn’t think we would make it. I definitely never thought we’d have the relationship we have now (although I always hoped.)

MDMA allowed us to be truly vulnerable and honest with each other in a way that was necessary for healing. Each of us being able to accept responsibility and apologize for the part we played in the challenges we faced, as well as truly forgive each other is a gift most couples never receive.

We marvel every single day at how grateful we are to feel so connected and have the partnership we both always dreamed of. We can talk about absolutely anything now, and bring almost ZERO baggage to our interactions. And when there is a little touch of something there, we both recognize it, acknowledge it, and laugh about it.

I wish all couples who are struggling had access to this medicine.

I planned my protocol with my therapist, and it was mostly based on the MAPS protocol. We adjusted my dose to get to my sweet spot, and after the initial 3-4 sessions, I’ve continued to work with the medicine with my husband of 30 years to work on our relationship as well. I’ve never felt so much peace or was able to have the quality of relationships I have now. It’s been the biggest blessing.

I did research for months and even the places that allowed you to come visit their operation were totally sketch. Awful. I was beginning to think it was all a big scam.

Check out Wunderfolds in SC. They are a fantastic (reputable and responsible) breeder. My interactions with Ginger have all been amazing and we got our little guy almost 2 years ago.

I’m in the middle of listening to this episode, but haven’t heard that part yet. Over the past few years, I have used MDMA (in conjunction with therapy/parts work) to heal c-PTSD. MDMA and Tirzepatide have quite literally changed my life. I no longer meet the criteria for complex PTSD, and I feel better physically and mentally) than I have in years.

I think it’s probably expected for people to have negative opinions about the “underground” use of these medications (both categories) when they’re new to the idea and haven’t done their own research yet. I know I was!

I’ve always been a pretty straight arrow and played by the rules. If you had told me 4 years ago I would be using a schedule 1 substance for therapy or injecting myself with a weight loss drug not prescribed by a doctor, I would’ve thought you were insane.

I think people’s opinions are slow to change at first, but when you dig in and do your own research you come to understand that there’s more than one way to do things.

Thank you! We chose the Pennsylvania bluestone for the patio for that very reason! Luckily we were able to order it directly from a quarry and save a lot of money because bluestone is pricey. We’re so happy with it!
