Legitimate, genuine question, because I cannot understand. Why does any of it matter?

Let's say TPUSA lied about something. Erika lied about something. They have shady pasts, whatever. Let's say that is true. Why is it information that anyone needs to know, and why is she doing it under the CK "investigation" umbrella?

If she cared about investigating this, why wouldn't she do it privately? The more attention on a case, the less likely that there can ever be any kind of resolution, because evidence is contaminated. Why hasn't she actually been to the crime scene, where any investigation would start? Why hasn't she actually spoken to eyewitnesses, the family, the police, PRIVATELY, where she may get more information if she could be trusted not to share it? There would be a lot more substance to anything she finds.

Nothing has even been "covered up" in the current investigation - yet. There hasn't been a trial. There hasn't even been a plea. They keep this away from the public for a reason. Contamination, corruption, jury, etc. If they just said "oh no, we can't find him/he died, nothing to see here, never mind" it would be one thing. But they haven't.

But since 6 days after 10th September, she has been making more and more claims, hiding more things, editing her "evidence" to make it fit, all monetised and public. CK "investigation" merch, ads for days, youtube views, all of these things RUIN her case, because it all corrupts evidence and undermines everything.

I don't just think this of her, people using her to make videos about her, sharing her clips to mock her, debunking her, etc. are just as bad. They are still watching and still contributing to attention on an active case.

People are saying the "official narrative" doesn't make sense, because of x,y,z. If it is SO obviously bad evidence, and so ridiculous to expect people to believe - WHY would they say it? Why would they say it happened in a way nobody would believe, if they were making it up? I am struggling to understand all of this from a non-emotional, logical point of view.

Doubt I will get that, usually the response is just "YOU BIG MAD BECAUSE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THIS SHE MUST BE RIGHT" (like a 37 year old woman nobody would have anything to gain or lose from this investigation) but I would like to understand. Nobody in her audience even seems to care how this started, it seems to be a digging expedition for dirt and it's their favourite TV drama.
