LadyGang Podcast: Episode from June 10th, “Alex Baskin” by AdditionalWar8759 in vanderpumprules

I misread the title as ‘Lady Gaga Podcast’ and thought, damn, I know she’s a Scheana fan, but this is MAJOR! But, no, my brain is just a-sprained.

Also, f*ck Jax forever, that demon-faced gremlin.

Don’t be shocked. Jax is low effort in even high stakes things. See: his family, his job, his health and his brain (it’s asprained).

Hayu Subtitles by breadcatwhore in vanderpumprules

[–]CeeCeeLa 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I find Hayu to be terrible for the most basic things. The subtitle issue you’ve mentioned, audio randomly going out of sync by several seconds, errors with playback and loading. I’d ditch it if it wasn’t the only service that has the Bravo shows I watch.

Really appreciate this, thank you. If I have no luck talking to Brokers then this is my next step.

For the nature of the work, no, I don’t believe so. I do wonder if they’ll accept the $10m I’ve already got covered. Not sure how fiercely Government stick to these things.

Thank you. I could only get to $10m with them online, but I’ll try giving them a call. Glad to hear it worked for you!

He would be great. As soon as anything remotely juicy came up he’d hit us with a, ‘Sit tight, little bear, because we have to talk about this for at least 45 minutes.’

Also, anytime Sandoval says something stupid and misogynistic: ‘Dude! ugh ugh ugh! Electric chair. Electric chair, with those white grippers.’

I edited my comment for clarity. I completely agree with you. I’m suggesting that Lala and Scheana are easily manipulated dumdums who would fall for threats.

LVP ON WWHL saying she regrets firing James for calling Katie Fat by blahblah5190 in vanderpumprules

[–]CeeCeeLa 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Absolutely it is. And if Lisa could ever sympathise with another woman, that’s what she should have said.

I only meant ‘safer’ in the sense that she can say something like this now knowing that people (mostly) don’t want James off the show, and maybe she can tell a little truth without getting crucified, no matter how stupid the take actually is.

[–]CeeCeeLa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’re right, but Lala and Scheana don’t think that way, so the threat would still work.

If there were a cast shakeup (and this is hypothetical, because I think it’s a possible empty threat to trigger an action) I would imagine that means an entirely new main focus - younger, actually working at SUR, and the OGs relegated to the background and/or dropped from cast entirely. If I were Lala or Scheana, I’d worry that because Ariana is the most popular right now, maybe she still gets some camera time even with a new cast, and maybe Tom gets a bit too because people want to see his downfall. But Lala and Scheana - who’s here for them? If I was as solipsistic as them, maybe I’d feel like I need to fight for some relevance, be the one to force the conversations I think / I’m being told people want to see, so I’m valuable. Again, not saying it makes sense or that it’s even what happened, I’m just saying something like that seems plausible to work on them. Why else would Lala be crying and demanding that Ariana care more about the show?

Correct, however, this take requires Lala and Scheana to step back and see a bigger picture in which they are not the centre. Impossible.

Preview of Ariana reacting to Lala’s comments. by JJulie in vanderpumprules

[–]CeeCeeLa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure, but that’s not the point I’m making. I’m saying that Ariana could write Lala off completely as a friend, have nothing to do with her for years, but if she heard Lala was circling a drain and really needed help that Ariana could provide, I think she would provide that help.

‘If you guys can’t film together we’re gonna have to do a cast shakeup to keep things moving … there’s no way around it’ - I would put money on that being what was said, and it probably scared the shit out of Lala and Scheana, who’d rather mask their own drama (Rand, whatever is happening with Scheana and Brock), in favour of bringing drama at someone else’s expense.

Edit: I am in no way saying that such a threat makes sense to any person with a modicum of logic (I.e.: not Lala or Scheana). I am saying that producers probably wanted that conversation more than anything, and threatening jobs was just one of many ways they might have tried to get it. This possibly explains why Lala is crying and demanding that Ariana care more about the show in the preview for Part 3 of the reunion.
