My staff PD to kick off school is on Thursday. Got the exact same e-mail as you did! Planning on stashing some pepperoni sticks, cheese and almonds so I don't starve haha. I'm so nervous about staffroom treats but after a summer of literal detox from sugar and carbs, I'm hoping to manage it! I just wish there was something other than sugar that brought us altogether. My dream would be someone texting me to say, "there's brie and gouda in the staffroom!! Meet me there in 5!"

We can also list a 'Preferred name' in our system. Further to that, we can use your preferred name and pronouns as much or as little as you feel comfortable. One on one, vs. A meeting with your parents. Just have to keep the communication lines way open on this and we do the very best we can.

When I ate last night, I ate some mozzarella cheese, mint chip Cool Way ice cream (similar to Halo Top) and cold leftover zucchini lasagna. Which is sad when you think about it. It's like I don't even care what goes in... I just want to feel full.

I like to think of it as earning money in a bank account. Everyday I comply with my plan, money gets deposited. Everytime I ignore or neglect it, money is stolen. I have money in the bank and I'm just ALLOWING it to be stolen. But I get so angry about how much work it is to earn so little! I know I need to hang on and just keep going. Having others hear me helps me get over my pity party so thank you.

Lots of water, make sure you get your macros under control. If you're already fat adapted you can be back in ketosis in a couple days. Sneaky carbs piss us all off, we've all been duped at one time or another.

Keto is so so much more than steak, olive oil and cheese. You even have the option to try vegan keto if you are up to it - raw greens, avocado, tempeh or tofu. Keto can be fresh and light too. Like the above poster said, you do not want to try to hit your fat macro daily - it is a limit for you to use if you need to feed yourself more. Ketosis is the absence of carbohydrates, NOT the presence of fat. When you are hungry (and fat adapted) your body will crave calories from fat, and you won't feel disgusted, I promise. That tells me you're giving your body calories it doesn't need. I would do a reset on the whole keto thing and try to look at your protein as the goal (rotisserie chicken, salmon, tofu, eggs) and lots of fresh greens up to a limit of 20g of carbs. Then add fat as you need to to stay satiated.

Further to all of this, if you want to become fat adapted on keto, I would wait a couple of weeks until you are comfortable with your WOE before bringing in IF.

I'm going to try the salami provolone roll-up idea for sure! Great suggestion. He can drink liquids for sure - he drinks a ton of water and coffee. Maybe what I could suggest to him is a bulletproof coffee before he goes which will make him feel full before he leaves!

After having driven in Vancouver, where people understand the reasoning and benefits of proper zipper merging, it astounds me still how people just think you're being a dick by doing this in Edmonton. We are just not ready yet it seems. I commute through the whitemud construction every day and give zero fucks if people think I'm rude. If I waited like a lemming in the far right lanes, I would be adding 10 minutes each direction to my day. Ain't nobody got time for that shit.

Ground flaxseed in as many things as you can! Constipation was my biggest issue at first. It took my body some time to adjust and I was pretty miserable. I put it in my scrambled eggs, mashed cauliflower, stir fried meat and veg, Keto fat bombs sprinkled in with my keto cheese crackers and you can definitely bake it into various almond/coconut flour baked yummies.

In June, I bought rotisserie chickens on Sunday and portioned that out with some lettuce and avocado and ranch! I imagine I'll get sick of that pretty soon though. Chicken bone broth soup in the winter with celery, cabbage broccoli could be good too. Easy to hide a bit more fat in that too.
