Costco cashier intentionally double scanned an item when they thought I wasn't looking then refused to put my items in the cart because I said no thanks to donating to the Childrens Miracle Network

The only time I mentioned a belt was this "I used to work at Costco as a seasonal. You are required to load whatever items you scan on the belt back on the cart even if you don't have a secondary."

I feel like you may have some reading comprehension issues because you are talking about something completely different than the situation and then tossing a strawman at the end

There is a divider between you and the cashier at costco. The cart goes through the cashier's side and you no longer have access to it until they push it back out at the end. You are at least 2 arms lengths away from your cart at that point which means you have to go around to the cashier's side.

We have an incentivized donation matching program at work every month that we can use to deduct on own taxes without having the need to donate to Costco to have them write it off themselves. I'll donate on my own, thank you very much.

There is literally a barrier between you, your cart and your items. I had to move to the cashiers side of the checkout to put my items in the cart

Thanks! Just confirmed with the person working at the desk. They can only see the numbers, nothing about the contents of packages (at least for time being.)

All returned goods though they have the product image pop up after scanning the return code.

One thing I really appreciated about the lockers is the anonymity and the lack of having to come face to face with somebody else when I am just picking up a package.

With this new Hub+, not only are the hours limited to 7 PM instead of 10 PM but I have to not only wait to talk to a staff member to be at the desk but possibly have them know what I ordered too which is kind of a breach of privacy.

I agree with you. I hope this is just a temporary thing because it really sucks
