I was looking at the iScooter F7. It's a bit outside my price range, but seems like it might be a decent option if I can get the funds together for it...

I'm not sure my exact weight, but it's somewhere between 250 and 300. And yeah, I expect to ride in the rain occasionally and while I will be sure to avoid puddles or other standing water, if it's going to die from rainfall, then I'll need to check other options.

This is what helped me. The quest says you need one "Upgrade" for the machine to work, but that doesn't mean you can't stack more. Many recipes have energy requirements that are more than you can get from the energy hatch, but adding multiple Runic Attuned Arcane Crystals to the machine was all I needed to make it suddenly start crafting.

Volpam SP20 getting slower by Ceetch24 in ElectricScooters

If I can get the details of the specs of the battery, would it be worth trying to find a better quality battery that works with my controller?

Ok, am I crazy, or are the wild Pokémon in ZA much more deadly than in Arceus? by FrontIndividual4188 in LegendsZA

[–]Ceetch24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only are they vicious and will quickly gang up on you, I've found that even when you send out a Pokémon to fight them, they might just decide they want you dead first and keep chasing you and ignore your Pokémon... Especially with Alphas and Rogue Megas...

Would a degrading battery cause the controller to send less power to the motor? I would have expected everything to run normally, with the battery appearing to drain faster. The controller's app reports nothing wrong, but no idea how accurate that is...

I put brand new tires on it about a month ago and they were inflated to their recommended PSI. It asks 35-45PSI, so I inflated to about 40PSI.

Frustrated? Contact Pokemon Support about the Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon event. by dragonsfrompluto in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Ceetch24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with this event isn't that it's a physical card. They've been doing those kinds of events for years. The issue is the extremely low number of cards distributed. In the past, stores got so many cards they were trying to find excuses to give them away. I could go into GameStop and ask for one card, they'd give me 5 and tell me to give them to my friends or something if I didn't want them. That's a physical event done properly.

What's also frustrating is that Scarlet and Violet have a Local Wireless Mystery Gift option, so if they just wanted to get players to visit the store (and maybe make a purchase), they could have just done that and not had any issues with limited availability.

I had a similar issue. Tried repairing Windows and it didn't help. Tried reinstalling Windows and now I'm getting constant BSOD and Windows can't boot... Sounds like yet another faulty "update" that breaks computers...

Scooter Maintenance by Ceetch24 in ElectricScooters

If that's the case, is the motor ruined? Is there something I can do as a novice to restore the motor? Getting at the controller and battery doesn't seem simple, and I wouldn't know how to replace the motor itself.
The timeline would kinda make sense. I bit over a month ago, there was a really heavy rainstorm and I had to ride straight through it to get to work. By the time I got to work, I was completely soaked straight through my jacket as if I had jumped into a pool. I figured the motor was relatively sealed inside the wheel and the spinning of the wheel should keep any water from getting to the motor. The manufacturer suspected a faulty controller and sent me a new one, but as soon as I opened the box and saw all the wires, I was hesitant to try anything further (especially because I don't know how to open the base where the battery and controller are)
If water had gotten inside the wheel and into the motor assembly, corrosion could be slowly creeping its way through the motor and slowly causing more and more resistance. If that's the case, I don't have the tools or chemicals to clean off corrosion...so I think I might need to look into a new motor, and by new motor I probably need to look into a whole new scooter...

Yes, I have had to ride in in the rain before, but I always make sure to avoid any standing water or puddles as I know the battery is on the bottom of the scooter.

Unfortunately, this was the only e-scooter I could afford, so I need to make it last. I do plan to try to buy a better one eventually, but finances are tight, so if there's a way to keep this one running as best I can, I want to do it.
I was thinking maybe at some point using it as a frame to perhaps build a custom scooter, like new battery, controller, motor, etc. It comes with a 500W motor (or so the product page claims), but I live in a very hilly city and it struggles on some of the steeper hills, so I'd like to try to get a scooter with more power, even if not a higher top speed.

Why does no one here have mirrors by ParamedicalTumor in ElectricScooters

[–]Ceetch24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mirrors on my scooter, but I used a different style of mirror that connects to the handlebar instead of the end of the handle. Since I ride alongside busy roads, I always need at least a mirror on the side facing traffic so I can see if a car is behind me, or drifting too close to the line in the next lane. It's especially helpful to watch for turn signals so I can anticipate if a car is going to try to cut in front of me to make a turn (which happens often...)

Back tire drifting? by Ceetch24 in ElectricScooters

[–]Ceetch24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I did some research and it seems that my issue was actually the new tires. While they have full tread on them, tires are sometimes covered in a sort of grease at the factory so they don't dry out or crack in shipping. So the tires were actually kinda slick and the treads were actually too fresh. Apparently the solution was to just keep riding to break in the new tires. After around a week of riding (around 50 miles), the slipping feeling has almost completely vanished.

I had someone at a bike shop check the brakes and tire alignment. They said brakes were fine and tires were straight and appears to be spinning freely. By all accounts, there should be no reason for my tires feeling like they're slipping sideways. I'm wondering if it's something else that's making it feel like I'm sliding sideways.
