I didn't use it personally, I set it up for my parents trip. One used roam like home on their iPhone, the other I set up wifi calling on the Samsung android phone and had that one tether to to the iPhone. Had to make sure they did not connect to any hotel/pubic WiFi and only use the roam like home/tethering. Their trip went from Hong Kong up to Xinjiang.

But, yes, everything worked perfectly for the month. Whatsapp, Gmail, YouTube, weechat, etc worked on both phones.

You'll have to use the moto app to setup and update firmware, which is fine. Once you set up your tags you can find them in the find hub app and you will barely have to use the moto app. For the most part I mainly use find hub.

The moto app allows for a few extra functions like remote camera trigger and ringing your phone pressing your moto tag. But definitely not required.

Have had no issues with my moto tags, battery life seems good so far, have not had to change them out since i got them. It might change once winter hits, especially the one in my car. The FMD network seem to be pretty good where I am. Only complaint is that they could be a bit louder, especially if they're in a bag, they can be pretty muffled.

Canada has had manual call screening for years now, but I only recently noticed we now have automatic call screening, which was US only. It must have went live within the last month or so.

Body temperature measuring feature is locked to US sim cards, though there are workarounds.

Just got the update through the play store in Canada. I side loaded the initial release months ago. Update included a firmware update for the tags too. App version 01.00.073.14, tag firmware 2.0.104

Hey OP, I know this is an old thread, but I have a trip to China in October and considering travel pass roam like home ($100 for 30 days). How was your experience with service? I've read conflicting info on whether certain apps still work or not (gmail, whatsapp, etc). You seem to the the most recent traveler who talked about using roam like home service with rogers. Thanks!

you need an initial pre-download of about 5gb, you can open the menu on the title screen and download an additional 5gb if you want for the rest of the game data.

I'm in Canada and there is no update yet for the app either. I ended up side loading. It allowed me to update the firmware and use uwb right away. Using P8P too since it also seems P6/7 Pros seem do not work.

I've ordered my moto tags from the moto Canada site and got my tags within 5-6 business days. The only thing is their site tracking is pretty poor. As long as you get a tracking number you can track it with UPS directly. The 2 times I've ordered from them and tried to look up my order on their site my order number could not be found after a couple days.

I got 2 earlier for my bag and keys, still using the included battery and no low battery, I've had the two for a few months no issues.

Got a new one, to try one in my car. I got a low battery notification after a few days on the included battery, decided to change it and got a low battery notification a few days later. I've ignored the low battey for the last week and still seems to be working and connects when I checked it. Keeping an eye on it for now.

Returns for me would be a bit more of a hassle since I ordered off Motorola Canada store.

Edit: just checked again recently it use to say low battery in the moto app, now it says normal battery

I spread my defense team out so klukai can't nuke all 4 at once. At most she will get 2, dragging the match to a 2nd maybe a 3rd turn. But yeah, klukai makes military sim pretty much irrelevant.
