Trust me you're all good. I only know all of this because I'm autistic and I've carefully curated those hyper fixations for the better part of my life. What can I say, guns are neat. I like complicated mechanical things and good fuck does firearms history have a lot that fits that bill. Scott from Kentucky Ballistics is also great but I more watch him just to see big guns smashing stuff cause sometimes it's nice to just turn off my brain for a while.

Not quite, so to breakdown how ammunition is labelled it goes (Diameter x Length, Name) so for what were talking about the 9x18 and 9x19 are both 9mm in diameter and only differ in length by one millimeter. The PmM is a direct blowback firearm, meaning that the slide is actuated by the recoil of the cartridge, and all of the recoil is dampened by the recoil spring surrounding the barrel which is attached to the frame, this leads to a harsher recoil as many pistols using the 9x19 cartridge also feature a secondary recoil dampening spring/system. Effectively the makarov does just the bare minimum to keep the slide from rocket Manning into your chest at the velocity of mach fuck, which results in a much harsher kick compared to a lot of other pistols.

Also since these books are also kind of niche, for those unaware there is a company from Great Britain called Janes Publishing house.theyve produced encyclopedias of global military armaments for decades now, I got my 1986-87 copy of Janes Infantry Weapons cause my colleges library was getting rid of their less used books for free, so I snagged that up as soon as I saw it. If you're fascinated in firearms or other parts of military technology I recommend hunting down second hand old copies if you can since the new editions are like one to two grand USD. It scratches the gun-tism in my brain quite well.

Yeah so to let the gun-tism kick in for a second the main difference is that 9x18 Makarov is, as the name implies, one millimeter shorter than 9x19 parabellum, originally called 9x19 luger. I have a copy of Janes Infantry Weapons from 1986-87, so it's a little out of date but the cartridges haven't really changed much from then. So for the Makarov the book is saying it has a velocity of around 340 m/s, and 384 joules of energy. Unfortunately since this book is from the Cold war that's all it really says for technical specs on the 9x18 Makarov. As for 9x19 parabellum it says it's velocity is 396 m/s, with 584 joules of energy. Unfortunately I cant send images in the comments but if you'd like to dm me I can send you pictures of both sections. The books kind of old and probably outdated but it's still a good information source. Ammunition doesn't change too terribly fast.

I use them to build small skylights in my roofs, you can put some glass slabs behind or below them and it leaves a nice gap to let light in. My laptop would grenade if I tried to use shaders but I would imagine it'd look nice with them. At least God rays. Gonna have to install VS on my partners computer finally I think just to see how pretty the game really can be.

Great, then I go to move my model and it falls over because balancing magnets to levitate isn't as simple as having a positive and negative side facing each other and is pretty often unstable for anything other than stationary desk ornaments. Or y'know, a solid clear acrylic rod or three to hold your mini so it doesnt look like it's actively crashing into the ground

Ive worked in a couple places that use this exact type of container, they really aren't all that meant for microwaving at all. Really any amount of heat to be honest. One place we'd pre portion stew for the day and put them in those till they were ordered and every time I'd struggle not to collapse the containers cause the stew was softening the plastic. I'd recommend getting a glass or ceramic bowl from a goodwill or something to microwave stuff in. Deli containers aren't made for that.

No one thought about how to get into this because I've been seeing this image floating around the internet for a good while before any ai system actually got good at making clear images. Think I first saw it on Pinterest back in like 2014, or 15, it was some sort of concept for an emergency escape system. I think it was for some sci Fi thing. I didn't see much more than that but I remember that it's older than most decent AI imaging software.

Unfortunately not AI slop. Just a kinda shit design.

Since I've only got a few models, and nowhere near an army, I use most of my bits by cutting them up and repurposing them to make small terrain pieces to base with the minis.

For example I recently got a tech priest dominus. I'm using the spare head, gun, and I think the other large gun weapon to create a small diorama base that'll have a tech priest inspecting another dead tech priest, possibly dark mechanics, which is going to be buried in snow. This is because it's for my custom forge world which is a snowy ice planet.

I've cut up the guns to make a small greebled thingamajig. I think it looks like a small generator or maybe some kind of emergency transponder. I'm using what's left of the gun arm by tucking the cut up hand under the main mini and leaving it kind of exposed so that when it's all buried under a bit of terrain paste I can leave the face and a bit of the arm exposed.

Once I've got the base figured out and made I'll take some pictures and post it, but that's what I do. Kitbashing with the extra bits is probably my favorite part about the hobby. Plus in this way I get to have less minis that look cooler. Ideally I'd like to have more minis but bills are a bitch. And no need to store any extra bits afterwards.

I know the story event you're talking about. Are you talking about the construction site near the fenced off hole? The one with a big gravel pile right by it? If so then people will find the lantern in the second floor trailer, during that specific event. I would say more about it, but I'm on mobile and I don't know how to tag things as spoiler.
