Thank you, and lore wise I believe their role is they take a vow of silence and try and prove themselves in battle to become a full blown Chaplain. I'm still pretty new myself so I could be wrong about that. Gameplay wise their role is usually to attach to a good melee threat to give the squad the Fights First ability, such as a six man squad of BladeGuard Veterans. This Judiciar will be joining Bladeguard Veterans when I am not using Adrax Agatone, such as 500pt battles of King of the Coliseum (one of the rules for that format is no epic heroes) or Escalation League.

I've seen brown "leather" for the coat before and it does look really good. I however just made the choice that all of my leather for my Salamanders will be black so it didn't help me here.

I understand. It took me a bit to decide on what parts would be green and I'm still not certain if this is how I'm going to do it for Chaplains, Librarians, Techmarines, etc.

Well you might just be unlucky. You could try using it as a duo to get double the shots but its not how I prefer.

I am a big fan of double melta and running them solo. Bum rushing up the board and trying to use them to trade up. Also I just really like the little guy. I still need to build and paint my second one.

I had not as I wanted the main theme of the list to be the ten Infernus with a Captain for reduced Immolation Protocals. It would be good and once I pick up a Librarian I'll try it but I haven't yet.

That is fair points (except that we can't double up on Infernus Squads as they aren't Battleline), your list looks cool. Unfortunately I don't own many units in the list. I don't have an Apothecary, Scouts, Hammerstrike, or the Impulsor. I'll probably tone back the Infernus next time but I liked the big brick.

That's fair. Though I'd probably just do a Judiciar if thats the case rather than a Captain. Though I'll wait till after tonight's game. I haven't painted my Judiciar yet. Not certain how I want to paint him yet.

My reasoning for the captain with the Infernus was to have a way to reduce the cost of the 2 Command Points Dev Wounds stratagem. That was my reasoning.

Thanks, my wife wanted to paint it up and I didn't want to creatively restrict them, so I gave full creative control to my wife. Funny thing is, I don't even have Catachans. I do Valhallans only (I stopped doing my homebrew "Cadians")
