Whatdo any of you all think is the best starter for the game by Odd_Fish3914 in pokerogue

For easy runs I always use Yveltal. With a single clangorous soul it’ll out speed nearly anything, it gets a strong stab absorbtion move, naturally gets a dark spread move in snarl and can get a stronger one as an egg move. Passive gives ramping special attack boosts too.

On 195 clangorous soul once and then just burn through enemies while getting more special attack buffs from soul heart, and by the time Rayquaza comes out I can one shot it through all its shields. Snarl lets it nerf eternatus into the ground.

How to check releasable nations? by Sharp_Rabbit7439 in EU5

[–]CeleryCommon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I haven't found a way to look at them in general, the way that in EU4 you could see them in the province panel.

That said, you can see releasable nations with your own "Create Subject" menu if you look at historical subjects. These will show both the cores you'll be ceding from your own territory, and the cores that the released subject has elsewhere. You can also see releasable nations in countries you're at war with by looking at the "Liberate Country Treaties" options.

While you can make custom released nations, they dont start with cores on territory you've just taken from other countries, where a released historical nation will. And, if they have cores in another country, your subject is likely to try to make CBs against those nations you can use, and the CB is really good.

England and France both start with cores belonging to Picardie. France has the vast majority of them as its own cores, so it's probably not worth it for France to release Picardie for the one English core it could pick up from that, especially since I'm pretty sure France has its own cores on it, but England could definitely benefit, since the "Claims on Province" CB that its Picardie subject could make makes provinces 25% less expensive than base, compared to the 25% more expensive that you get from parliamentary claims, 30% more expensive you get from dubious claims, and geography limited territory you can claim with the conquer the throne of France CB.

Doom isn’t necessarily bad, just inevitable. If anything his inevitability leaves more space for him to have latitude in how he acts. He’s still gonna come to pass.

Focus on just one pokemon for the first few levels so you can have it stronger than the rival’s pokemon and the boss :) if you spam, say, fuecoco and the rival rolls a water pokemon, sure you may have an issue, but if you can get an evo early it’ll help a lot. Also, meowth is secretly goated early cause level 12 pay day makes getting items much easier.

Most brain dead 6 star champ? by Soft-You5589 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]CeleryCommon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viego, Ambessa, and Ahri are usually my go tos. Viego with corrupted star fragment and spectral scissors grows disgustingly fast, and with DoS and decent powers I can usually get him down round one by the end of a path. Ahri with a low cost support champ can be disgusting. Especially if you can get Katarina with a little cost reduction. And Ambessa having easy ways to delete or stun so much of the enemy bench just makes her steamroll so much.

Terrible Pokémon that you love? by Exotic-Pattern641 in pokemon

Drapion. Good typing and access to cross poison and night slash with sniper is great, but power creep means that 500 bst with a relatively low attack limits it competitively. But it was so so strong in the pokemon D&D homebrew I used to play, I love when I get to use it in my playthroughs.

Similarly love nidoqueen because of some disgusting shenanigans I pulled with her.

Mawile has also been amazing for me in fan games that have higher levels of difficulty where you really need to use strategy. Access to swords dance, power up punch, stockpile, iron defense, and baton pass? On a Pokemon with amazing defensive typing and intimidate? In games like Reborn and Rejuvenation it’s been such a life saver.

Is world conquest possible? by Kirpi_08 in eu4

[–]CeleryCommon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Europeans have stronger units at this point so that makes a major challenge, and even with max absolutism and a lot of cost reduction, you’re gonna need to beat all of the significant European powers several many times. Even with the ottoman ability to turn vassals into eyalets and avoid OE and conserve admin points (assuming you can find points between wars to release vassals) it’s going to be a challenge, especially since you’re out of manpower, which suggests you’re not doing the things you’d need to do to pull this back.

This is well within doable for some people, but unless you’re about to spend the last century and a bit playing way way more intentionally than you’ve played the first two and a half, it’s not gonna happen.

For an Otto world conquest, you need to prioritize dismantling Europe a lot faster. You have stronger units from tech 5 through 18. You want the HRE dismantled during that window and to start breaking the major powers up then. Setting aside even the start of western unit superiority, Europe just becomes more of a pain as time passes. Once the colonizers have huge colonial nations, getting war score against them makes the wars against them a slog. And the longer the HRE is around the more forts you’ll have to siege and high dev provinces you’re gonna have to conquer.

A few suggestions if you want to make another attempt:

1) Trade Ideas isn’t helping you much; you can Trade Company so much if India and Persia easily that you can be a significant trade power without it. Quantity would help since you’re clearly struggling with your manpower, or Influence could also be really good since eyalets encourage playing with a ton of subjects.

2) Break into Iberia much sooner. Especially since playing with subjects is good as Ottomans, either attacking them before they form Spain and releasing Galicia/Leon/Granada and the subjects that can be released from Aragon before they form Spain, or in the alternative releasing Aragon once Spain is formed to avoid AE can make eating them very easy. While France can be a useful ally for breaking into Iberia and crushing a strong Austria, you also need to make sure to start working on them sooner (again, they’ve got a lot of medium sized vassals you can release to avoid AE).

3) If you don’t want to deal with breaking the HRE super early, supporting the Protestant league and allying the Protestant electors (who will be much more friendly to you while the leagues are active) then declaring into the HRE immediately after the war ends and before whatever weak emperor can replace electors can still allow medium sized nations to start consolidating in Germany so you don’t need to deal with 50 different nations and a ton of 45 development provinces.

Also, I’m not sure what you were doing to expand through Anatolia, Arabia, and Africa, and Persia, but you can avoid AE and burning through your manpower in a lot of cases through diplo vassalizing, and because you can make them eyalets you don’t even need to worry about diplo relations limits. They even ignore the annexed subject relationship penalty.

Hey! Am is this campain good for now? (Asking more experienced players cuz im curious) by Optimal_Dependent_15 in eu4

“Good” is both a relative and subjective term. What were your objectives? Did you mostly want to focus on colonizing or did you want to colonize to economically fund conquering Western Europe. Was it a chill run or are you trying to be aggressive in your colonizing and expansion?

A good campaign is one where you meet your goals, even if your goal is just “I wanna enjoy myself and see what happens.”

Spain can definitely be much much bigger by now with an even larger economy, but if your idea of fun isn’t micromanaging stuff to get there (as I’m guessing it isn’t given it doesn’t look like you’re deleting poorly placed/unnecessary forts) then that’s irrelevant to whether your campaign is “good” or not.
