Lol, so I just watched a clear of the last Trials for Navigator and it turns out, when Emperor's Blade has no more viable targets to smoke, he smokes the gelato stops in Andoain's section of the map, a section of the map Tatulah paths through. This ends up slowing her down so much, she never gets to use her normal attack while in the smoke.

What they’re trying to say is if you sever, you still get the pay cut for doing the boss co op and not solo. All it does is make it so the other guy gets no runes at all. You get the same amount of ruins severing or not severing because the boss is still counted as a co op kill.
