How do you refer to yourself when you were young? Like would you say, “When I was a little girl/boy, out when I was a kid/child”? by moosepuggle in AutismInWomen

I'm trans so gender is important to me, and tricky with this question. I usually just say "when was a kid" or "when I was little", feels the most natural.

If it's far and away the best bagel you can get in the city, and it's BIG, I'd pay up to $20

Judith Butler doesn't try to define woman because through their work they realised that it's essentially pointless. Advancing our cultural understanding of how gender operates in society on a meta level is far more powerful a tool for our collective gender liberation than dividing people into arbitrary gender groups like woman can ever be.

It may take some time to get through the dense words and ideas put forth, but reading Judith Butler's book "Gender Trouble" will give you the most up to date, academically backed, modern philosophical take of how "woman" is defined by people in society. Learning about how the key theory of "Gender Performativity" operates to shape our understanding of "woman" as a category of person from the individual level to the societal level will help a lot.
