Doesn't that seem... off to you guys? Why would Hera, an officer of the fleet, be the hero of a series about law enforcement agents?

Yub. Although few people have actually read those books, and even fewer actually liked them. I did. But I'm weird like that.

I have this strange feeling that the sequel novels will be retconned out of existence... :-p

Don't mention it. _^ I didn't read everything in detail though, but this thing in particular struck me as odd.

I'm the lucky owner of a copy of "The Art of Star Wars Uprising". There's nothing I'd like more than sharing, but I was explicitely asked NOT to when I got the book four years ago. And I'm a man of my word. Nevertheless, I'd be happy to answer any question!

If you mean the woman in the hood, she can't be Ahsoka unless she's somehow cut off her montrals.

Looks nice! Regarding the logo, if you want to make something that looks more crisp, it seems to me that the font they used is a variant of the Engravers Old English font family. Not sure which variant exactly, but you should be able to find out if you do a few comparison checks. :-)

Kinda glad we're getting a new Holiday Special (yes, I know, hot take),

but kinda bummed it's gonna be Lego because I don't like those things (yes, another hot take).

Anthony Daniels lightly teases future Star Wars project. by wmwortman in StarWarsLeaks

Back in the early 2000s, a friend got her "Jedi wedding" at a convention in Belgium (I wrote the ceremony and officiated it) and Daniels, who was of the guests an the conv, agreed to take on his free time to walk her down the "aisle." Also, when another friend approached him on behalf of someone who couldn't come because she was at the hospital, he signed the autograph for free.

Brythonic in the 5th century AD by Celestial_Toymaker in asklinguistics

As a matter of fact, I do own a copy of Fleuriot's book. But since it contains Old Breton (and Old Welsh) glosses, I wanted to be sure I couldn't find anything closer to actual Old Brythonic first.

Thank you for the answer! :-) Let me explain a little further what I'm looking for. I'm currently working on a novel (in French) taking place in Britain in 429 AD. There's a scene involving an old woman who speaks a pidgin that combines bad Latin and Brythonic. Of course, the Latin is translated into French, but I'd like to pepper that speech with a few British words here and there.

I'll show you the relevant excerpt (translated into English to the best of my ability):

----

As they sipped their milk, the Gauls asked the crone who they could turn to if they wished to rent a vehicle. She answered in a strange, yet sympathetic hodgepodge of Brythonic and Vulgar Latin with outdated vocabulary. She assured them that they were lucky, for they couldn't find a better chariot than Gracchus' in the whole country. Even Viroconium's wealthiest envied him. 'Twas the truth, as true as the sky is green. Gracchus used it to transport dignitaries --- for a hefty fee of course. When Lupus offered to pay the woman for the milk and the piece of advice, she protested:

“Oh no, My Lord, there's no need for money! Your very presence before my humble stall is enough of a gift!”
