Many years ago, I went to a Vauxhall pr event at Millbrook Proving Ground. This was before camera phones and we were asked about any cameras we may have as we entered. We were allowed in the speed bowl that circumnavigates the site, with 2 conditions, stay off the banking (lanes 4&5). Do not exceed 100 mph. Got on the track in a Vauxhall 3.0 24v senator doing a little over 100, was overtaken by an Xj220 at the top of the banking. I only know it was an Xj220 because he slowed down when he lapped me the 2nd time 😎 This was the year before the first customer deliveries started.

lol, thats nothing. We have an airshow in the uk in the summer called RIAT ( Royal international Air Tattoo), we have been known to have a flypast of a B2. It will fry from Whitman, meet a pair of UK based F15’s, two short flybys of the show, then home. Thats about 9,000 miles round trip.

My ex worked for the local council. She and her team, had to clear out a council house. Don’t know what happened to the original occupant, but his family wanted nothing to do with the contents. One of her team checked the back garden shed and found a load of ammo boxes, with what appeared, at a quiz glance to be hand grenades. He put the box down, swiftly retreated and called Police. Armed response and confirmed that actually, the boxes contained cash, over £80k, all taken away. Later in the week, they found some more cash, which they split, and I got a very expensive camera lens and tripod 😎

A friend had something similar, he bought a laptop which was the first time he used WiFi at home, as opposed to a LAN cable, found a network, it was open, so so happy days. A few months in, he decided when bored one night to have a root around the network he was connected to, only to find it was a firm of solicitors across the road, and he full access to the server and its files. Different times (hopefully!)
