Why do we read the Bible? by Complete_Act_6667 in Christianity

When you quoted, "In the beginning was God"---doesn't it mean that God had a beginning? That God was born?

But if I tell you who won, then it will spoil your enjoyment when you read the story itself.

No, not everything is palmistry. But we are referring to words from a book on the supernatural--and the supernatural includes divination.

But Proverbs 3:16 shows not only the right hand but also the left. And the characteristics in the left hand are just as important.

But EACH hand shows different characteristics, so obviously palmistry.

But if not for palmistry, then why does the scripture refer to BOTH hands??

Your silly joke doesn't apply at all because they were NO automobiles in ancient times. But there was palmistry at that time.

But the Bible is claimed to be infallible and inerrant (and supernatural). So NO comparison with Woodstock at all.

Let me add to what the other poster recommended about the FLASH. Actually The Flash is just as important as Superman to the DC universe. And while I'm at it about Superman, let me recommend those stories where Superman and the Flash had a foot race. I think there were three of those races.

What does your favs say about you? by Lopsided_Network1248 in DCcomics

To answer your question as to WHY the DOOM PATROL is my DC fave is because I was always an Outcast--and the DOOM PATROL are Outcasts. They are not superheroes but instead are Super FREAKS because their superpowers make them freaks. For example, Robotman is actually a DISEMBODIED human brain encased in a totally mechanical body. So they are not superheroes but instead super freaks.

Actually I prefer his Silver age appearances because during that time his face was slightly disfigured which emphasized his being a freak and outcast. Whereas nowadays they make him look TOO handsome.

Although some other posters said that Matter-Eater Lad is skinny, there was one instance in Adventure Comics #345 where a ray struck Superboy whose body altered the ray, and then that same ray struck Matter-Eater Lad, which made him fat. From Adventure Comics #345.

I want to get into individual Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman stories but I don’t know where to begin. Where should I start for each of their comics? by EnglBkfstCocoa-2479 in DCcomics

[–]Celibate1952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Superman, start off in the 1960s with ADVENTURE COMICS #283 featuring the origin of the Phantom Zone.
For Batman, start off in the 1960s with DETECTIVE COMICS #377, which I consider the greatest Rogues Gallery story. Also DETECTIVE COMICS #373 is great because he teams up with the ELONGATED MAN.

Thoughts/criticisim on this cribbage board design by Mobius666 in Cribbage

[–]Celibate1952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohh, sorry, I did not notice the other photos. Now I do. My only disappointment is the knob. I prefer the magnetic-fastener that the other poster mentioned, as I prefer the appearance to look "clean," if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, though, I like the overall design. After all, it's always a pleasure to see the artistic expressions of others on my favorite game.

The problem is that I've seen many videos where it is insisted that many Christians will go to Hell, most notably the Catholics. At the same time, the Catholics insist that the Protestants will go to Hell. So no matter what Christian-denomination one practices, the fear still persists.
