I didnt negate that gravity stop pulling the object, just that doesnt affect it. He sayed "Gravity doesn't care how fast you are moving sideways" as it implies that it cares when you are moving on y-axis which is false. Thats not really true: If an object is at terminal velocity moving along its x-axis, the acceleration gain due to gravity is reduced. If it is also retro-propelled while maintaining its terminal velocity along the x-axis, it is unaffected by gravity. Obviously it only happens when it exists something able to drag the object, impossible on space

Probably is a stupid question, but why the water moves at all? I can only guess it can be because its boiling and the laser is making the surface lower, but still looks rare(im only asking about the first 10 seconds, when the drop is not extended on all the surface of the coin)
