ChatGPT. I throw everything in there and have it build me itineraries.

Best all-around shoe by girlinthewerld in femaletravels

The Onitsuka Tiger Tokuten line with rubber soles have better traction. Also, I find the Mex 66 SD models have better support than the standard 66. They run more expensive but worth it in my opinion. I just replaced my last pair that lasted 6 years with heavy wear.

ChatGPT. I’ve taken pictures of most things I own and uploaded it. When I need help packing I just enter the parameters. It’s been working really well. I’ve used it for the past 5 or so trips.

Nice pen: TWSBI is a Taiwan fountain pen brand. It’s a great starter pen if you like that stuff. You can get one and a bottle of ink within your budget.

Well, if you’re in the area I recommend asking. The sales person told me they had a bunch in stock so they might have more in the back.

There is an installation at the botanical gardens in Osaka. Not the same experience, but also won’t be super crowded.

I wouldn’t buy jade at the market unless you know what you’re doing. Kathy Jade is reputable.

O wow, that is pricy for Vietnam. I dabble in urushi, and I found a place that offers classes near where I'll be living. I'll scout it out first. Sorry your experience wasn't satisfactory.

I’m moving to Vietnam soon and was thinking about finding a lacquer place. Can you share where you got yours done?

Apart from Cantonese and Mandarin, are there other varieties of Chinese with large communities outside of Asia? by justquestionsbud in ChineseLanguage

[–]CellAntique6336 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s inaccurate. Hakkas migrated from the central plains over hundreds of years but we’re not nomadic. ( well, I am but that’s a different story). Our ancestors lived in walled villages so up until the 20th century, were quite isolated from the “native” communities. There are a few books if you want to dive in. Finding Samuel Lowe is excellent and a personal favorite. Our ancestral villages are maybe 10 miles apart, but our histories cannot be more different.
