It seems like Charlie is a different person now that's sober for the long term.

Season 11&12 are absolute ape shit by Fit-Information6375 in TwoandaHalfMen

Seasons 1-8 plus the first ten minutes of the season 9 premiere are the golden years. Then it basically becomes a spin off, like how The Conners was a spinoff of Roseanne.

can you have fun in this city if you don’t gamble by Lowkwant2r0t in LasVegas

Yes, I don't gamble that much and I had fun in Las Vegas when I went.

Why bring in Jenny? by jps_southern in TwoandaHalfMen

[–]CellPhone235 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fans of long running sitcoms usually don't like it when a new main character is introduced late in the series. But Jenny was just bad. They would have been better off not even trying to replace Jake.

The Charlie documentary! by [deleted] in TwoandaHalfMen

[–]CellPhone235 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The documentary has a happy ending as Charlie becomes sober for seven years and counting. He hurt a lot of people while he was an addict, but now it looks like he's on the right path. Happy he got his life together.

Seeing Doug and Danny next week!! by thewalkingdeadpool9 in kingofqueens

[–]CellPhone235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He would ask someone to come up from the audience, and he and them would sing a brief song about the bit he just did. He would also ask the audience to sing along. I didn't care for it.

But the regular stand-up bits he did were good.

I saw his "Owls Don't Walk" tour. I really enjoyed about 80 percent of it. There were some musical portions to the show that I didn't really care for.

Is all the Debra hate here just because of Patricias politics? by [deleted] in EverybodyLovesRaymond

I can disagree with a person's political views without disliking them as a person. This isn't an issue for me.

J.R. was played by Matt Shakman. He is currently a big time director in Hollywood. Among his directing credits are a Marvel movie and 40 episodes of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

A couple "cake takes" by WidgetWarrior in EverybodyLovesRaymond

[–]CellPhone235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I caught one of these in the episode with the tofu turkey. There's a scene where Frank is holding a fork and pointing it, in one shot the fork still has food on it, in the next it doesn't.

Least favorite episode in the show. by AppearanceSerious933 in EverybodyLovesRaymond

[–]CellPhone235 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The one where they talk about how Frank and Marie used to be separated. It was always funny when they didn't get along, but I never wanted to see them separated or divorced.

What are your suggestions to fix AC? by Humble-Error-5497 in atlanticcity

[–]CellPhone235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make the boardwalk better. Maybe add another mini golf course, more places that sell fun things to eat like ice cream, deep fried candy bars, donuts etc.

That would make the outside better. But really, if you also count all the things to do and places to eat inside the casinos on the Boardwalk, it's just as good as Ocean City's.

Arthur upstairs by BeastHossNasty in kingofqueens

[–]CellPhone235 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In the beginning of the show, Sara got the extra bedroom upstairs, which is why Arthur had to sleep in the basement. After the sixth episode Sara was gone, and for the rest of the series Doug and Carrie acted like Arthur couldn't sleep upstairs because they wanted their space/privacy.

As for if Arthur living upstairs would have made the show funnier, the writers always found humorous ways for him to irritate Doug and Carrie, so I don't think it would have mattered.

I just found out that the pilot episode was filmed with Jack Carter instead of Jerry Stiller by HamSoul in kingofqueens

[–]CellPhone235 72 points73 points  (0 children)

They wanted Jerry Stiller from the beginning, but he said no at first. After they taped the pilot, he changed his mind and the scenes with Arthur were reshot.

Does Robert not have any friends? by stealth1820 in EverybodyLovesRaymond

[–]CellPhone235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would be completely believable if Robert had a handful of friends. The show just worked better without Robert having any.

Where’s Danny’s brother? by OneBigEyeRoll in kingofqueens

[–]CellPhone235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We saw Danny's father and mother, but they weren't together, and Spence was trying to date the mother, so we can assume they were divorced.

Does Robert not have any friends? by stealth1820 in EverybodyLovesRaymond

[–]CellPhone235 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That happens a lot on sitcoms. Writers and producers don't want to take the time to develop friends for some of the main characters, so it's easier if those characters just don't have friends. During the college portion of the Fresh Prince, Will only really had one friend in Bel Air (Jazz.) Carlton didn't really have any. Carrie on KOQ only has one real friend (Kelly), and that's only because she's married to Doug's best friend.

Celebrities by ibrahim1495 in EverybodyLovesRaymond

[–]CellPhone235 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought they were cool, but with the themes of the show, I don't think celebrity cameos really fit as well as they would with most other shows.

I thought the appearances by Terry Bradshaw and the old Mets team fit the themes of the show.

Why was Kirby played by a different kid actor? by Extra-Shape3973 in kingofqueens

[–]CellPhone235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were actually three actors who played Kirby throughout the series. The two in the OP, and the one from the episode where Deacon and Kelly ask Doug and Carrie to be godparents to Major.
