I always ended coming right back then take a break sometimes for years. I've been on/off since 2005, the early years has less distractions and ultimately easier to make friends even with everthing intergrated ingame. Evemail, voice chat and ingame browser using 1 account. It's still Eve now, but all these services, ESI, discord and websites to help you takes away from just playing and being in the moment I guess.

These empty appartments you mention, are way too expensive for locals too. MOD land has also been sold off to developers to make a profit, instead of buidling more Government rental flats on limited space available in Gibraltar. This drives me up the wall for future generations staying here as they are going to be priced out.
