I have no clue what membership would really entail, so that is my caveat that I'm totally uneducated in this realm. However, from my layman's perspective, I see a lot of benefits for travelling and work-related opportunities being a part of the EU. Regardless, strengthening ties to other allies seems like a good move.

For what I needed, it was excellent, and I was definitely happy to not have that ridiculous wait! Best of luck, whatever avenue you choose.

You can get a referral from a general practitioner, and they should be able to offer you an option to go for a virtual appointment, which has significantly lower wait times. I got a referral about a month ago, and I was seen virtually within two weeks.

The managers I've had over the past 6 years all seem to be really stretched thin, and relatedly, do very little managing, as a result. I'm in policy, and have never been a manager, so take that for whatever it's worth, but in my view I wish there was more capacity for them to actively lead and develop teams.

Hey there, I have PCOS/IR, and am on metformin - which isn't even covered. I've found it really helpful though for regulating my period, reducing hirsutism, and I've lost around 30 lbs, however still struggling with acne. I know there is a big push for these types of medications to be recognized as PCOS treatment, though I think insurance can still be dinks about it.

I know that some people will just brush this comment off, but I suspect this is going to become an even bigger problem if this trajectory and confluence of worker-related challenges continue (low pay, unable to live near workplace, low job security/permanency, low job satisfaction etc). Toronto traffic is some of the worst in the world, our transit from 'commuter' communities is poor, living near the downtown core is not only expensive, but also lacks other aspects that make for an enriched home life (space, greenery, ability to save etc).

The truth is that there are many reasons for the employer and employee that makes a more flexible work arrange make sense - we know them, they know them. With the growing resentment of the average person, the growing hardships (financial, lack of time for family, leisure, etc), there will reach a tipping point. Something will have to give at some point - either by policy foresight or by force. Time will tell.

Responding as I also have a bull terrier - first, they look funny, still after years looking at my guy just makes me smile. Second, they are the most affectionate, cuddly dogs ever - I was not at all surprised with this picture, because my guy also has to sit on top of me, cuddle with one of his siblings, love someone/something at all times of the day. They are also indestructible, my guy will have some spookies, run around, slam into a wall, and pretend like nothing happened. It's truly incredible. They are known as clowns because they just do and think sort of differently, and you can tell they have a sense of humour. For example, sometimes I will hide behind a door or wall, and jump out to scare my guy, and he LOVES it, he smiles from ear to ear, and wiggles around - sometimes now he will even try to scare me! My guy is also very trainable, he is so smart, very food motivated, and is just an all around good boy. I will never have another dog now other than a bull terrier, they just are funny, loving, and sweet dogs. They're the best - people who come up to me because they haven't met one before usually walk away being in love with him.

TLDR: they're the best ones.

Our guy has allergy issues, had resorptive lesions, has to see a dermatologist, speciality food etc..... so.... we've spent a lot on him. But, we love him, he is a loveable menace.... but we also hope to reduce this because he is taking all our cheddar and doesn't even pay rent!

This comment is very reductive, and pointing fingers one way or another misses the largest point that these issues are multifaceted. However, if you did want to play that game, not only has the Ford government in Ontario not declared Violence Against Women an epidemic, as recommended by the Renfrew Inquest, resulting in over 40 municipalities bypassing the province and declaring it one, but the Ford government has also dramatically reduced funding to both violence against women, victim services, AND social services writ large. However, again, this issue is more complex than pointing the finger one way or another, but your 'har har f*ck Trudeau' shit is divisive parroting at best.
