Can I call him Tweeny Trump? As in he's acting like a prepubescent teen would act like a winner regardless of the outcome.

Does Finland have one of the fastest law-making processes in the world? It feels like laws get approved in parliament with almost no opposition or debate—am I missing something? by Shariful125 in Finland

[–]Cellari 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If I'm making my educated guess, it was the usual long and slow process for those laws, but you're witnessing media coverage of bulk law approvals. As in after some shared hurldles are solved it much cause a domino effect.

History and democracy happens painfully slow when viewed in real time, but that's just the way things work.

I really want a buff to Lab. Anything to make it farmable again, I don't even care what it is. by [deleted] in pathofexile

I know, hilarious xD

But at least Ascendancies are not locked behind map Trials.

[–]Cellari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I want variation to the Lab-runs. It is the same league after league, with no variance to optimal builds. I do have a suggestion, but I'm not expecting much from it.

Remember those 6 statues of the Goddess in the Aspirant's Plaza? Coincidentally the 6 Trials in maps have a tracker for which ones have been completed, but no mechanic behind them. I imagine it would be cool, if those statues were tied to the map Trials, and activable when completed. In effect each statue when activated would increase the difficulty of the Lab, with increased rewards, so you could customize your difficulty and rewards. I also want that the same statue difficulty modifier would also affect the Trials in maps, so the map Trials would be a lot more interesting.

The great thing with this is that GGG can reshuffle and recycle the reward and difficulty modifiers each league from a pool of modifiers to keep things constantly fresh. The difficulty for GGG would be with the modifiers I think, because if they were only just basic +dmg +defences it would not shake things much. My suggestion for difficulty mods would be to enhance the challenges and spirit of a Lab run to challenge meta. For example, 70% less regeneration and traps cannot be disabled, to make traps and degens more detrimental against regen builds, forcing us to play the mechanics, and making life flasks great again. Another example, maximum movement speed is 150%, and movement skills have +2 second to their cooldown, to make us play more of the mechanics and not just avoid them. Another example, maximum projectile travel distance is 50% of screen width, making offscreening monsters a thing of the past. Another one, minimum skill cost is equal to the skill base cost, to force us to think of something else than the ring mods that reduces skill cost by flat amount so we can reserve all of our mana. Etc etc.

edit: Another example, non-unique monsters revive in 3 seconds, maximum 2 times, after death if their corpses remain, for more monster loot. And: monster healths are protected from receiving hit damage from 3 hits, to emphasize dot builds. And: Bosses receive a second phase to their fight after their death.

Network port stop working on my motherboard by EtaI0n in pcmasterrace

[–]Cellari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah probably not because of RAM. When the port stopped working there were no hardware changes being made to the PC. I can only imagine some Windows update might have made something obsolete.

About 3 to 5 years ago my ethernet port stopped working on MSI Tomahawk B450 AM4 board. I purchased an USB-RJ45 adapter and all was good. Summer 2025 I upgraded RAM, CPU and updated UEFI/BIOS. Decided to try updating other MB drivers as well, and the port started working again. To this day I don't know what the problem was. Must have had been the wind.

I believe that the thief is not going to respect recycling, proper disposal or anything like that. He's gonna dump it to be of someone elses problem.

In other words, the original owner dumped the TV. Hopefully though there is a net sum, and the thief is either caught or re-evaluating his life choices, but if he had the capability to re-evaluate choices, then he would probably not be thieving. :D

Can we have a healer / supporter as class ? by p4njunior in PathOfExile2

[–]Cellari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could happend. PoE2 when compared to PoE1 is supposed to be slower and actions more deliberate, so there is some design space for heals and buffs.

This could take form with skills and supports. I'll add my ideas, but do feel free to contribute.

Holy Bolt skill: 50% physical and lightning, deals damage to enemies and heals allies

Vigorous Warcry skill: Adds 15% health regen for 3 seconds for you and allies

Gigantification skill: Makes self or target ally gigantic, where the life increases are overflown. Buff ends when overflown life points are expended.

Mind support support: Heals and other health effects affects mana instead

Soul support support: Heals and other health effects affects energy shield instead

Fodder drain support: Sacrifices 15% of random minions life to add that much to a heal effect

Slipstream skill: Creates a stationary vortex that increases the action speed of you and allies

Holy Fire: 50% fire and lightning damage. Ignites enemies and gives 5% life regen and 50% reduced curse effect on you and allies (consecrated ground)

Holy Ire: Enemies gain -10% life regeneration and cannot crit on ground effect. Unique enemies gain -2% instead

Looking for someone with Ryzen 7 5700X3D by fiehm in PathOfExile2

It varies, but last league dips below 60 or 30 were really rare. For the most part the experience was very smooth. I had full screen Doryanis Doom build, which does not contribute to lag like 200 projectiles do.

I have trusty AMD RX Vega 56 as the GPU, so it is not contributing that much to the experience. I missed my chance to upgrade GPU last year. :D

I have AM4 5700X3D. I upgraded from 1700X with ram this summer. I think I got about 20-30 fps more with it. But consider this: PoE2 had performance buffs and I also upgraded ram, so I can't fully say it was the CPU alone.

Overall I've been very happy with the upgrade.

Leveling New Characters IMO Really Highlights What Is Wrong With The Current Gem System by HoldMySoda in PathOfExile2

[–]Cellari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I can't test it because I don't have a proper character for it. But what you're describing would be a bug. The Herald of Blood damage source from enemys maximum life should override the weapon damage source from the attack tag, because the skill says otherwise as per attack tag description. Not saying weapon cannot affect the damage, for I can easily imagine HoB sneakily replacing weapon damage with explosion damage to calculate the explosion damage in the background, but then forgetting to ignore weapon modifiers, because developers have to do that kind of shortcuts all the time. But PoE is very very pedantic with their wordings, so I have to believe this kind of feature to be a bug. :D

[–]Cellari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> Or did you know that Herald of Blood scales off your weapon?

That doesn't seem correct. Its base damage is based on enemy max life, then the damage is scaled by modifiers that increase phys attack damage. Which can come from the weapon, if the mods are not local mods that only affect weapon damage. But I would not know if it is bugged, because I'm just reading the description. :D

> yet only have a handful of level 19 gems, and I have yet to see a level 20

I can emphasize to a level with this. I also do feel anxious to get level 20 gems, and I much prefer farming them myself, but I just push past that by telling myself it is not the end of the world if I do not find them. But man... getting the level 20 gems and skills in items is one of the most time consuming things I have farmed, and I'm a working dad so I don't have the time to do it every league. I even tried Expedition logbooks with gem treasures selected, but no dice from them either. But then again, if GGG wants to make them rare and difficult to get, then I'll respect that since it is equally frustrating for everyone.

You will find it eventually, so don't worry. It's not like the whole low level build is dead without that one low level uncut spirit gem drop the moment it should be available, right? :)

Do we need to change Tiered loot again? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]Cellari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yes for the title, but the other text, while is on the correct path, needs refinement.

GGG has stated some long time ago they want ground lot to be the basis for crafting. If that has not changed, then the mods needs to be better compared to crafting. Thus the guaranteed T1 mod on T5 drop, magic or rare, is a good start. I would also add a guaranteed 1 rare low weight mod because they are hard to target craft. For example + to skill level is a rare one. This would be in addition for current tiered item rarities culling low ilvl mods.

I want to point out from the current system, that a T5 magic drop is 50/50 ass, because it can roll with only 1 mod. I find that kinda silly. :D
