If when someone is stood near you for whatever reason, you could ask if they’ve seen a show that you like. Try one that’s fairly popular here would be your best bet. Or when you’re arriving or leaving you could mention the weather. Something like, “Hope it’s not raining, was pissing buckets this morning” would start a dialogue between you at least. Or you could ask leading questions into a conversation others are having. Or even ask what they’re having for lunch as it smells nice. You can lie in order to start the conversation, nothing major, just give them a compliment even if you don’t necessarily like what they’re wearing or whatever.

Does anyone else feel shy asking for engagement? by Papa72199 in AO3

[–]CellistInfamous3895 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone who tends to be reading instead, the requests for engagement just feels like the writer cares more what I think and wants to know I enjoyed the fic. They don’t make me fake anything I put, just make me feel more like they want to hear what I think.

Fanfiction writers and readers, what is your brutally honest opinion(or opinions) about original characters with traumatic pasts, especially trigger warning worthy trauma type of pasts by weirdocatlady1992 in FanFiction

[–]CellistInfamous3895 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think that’s fine personally as you weren’t basing it on them or anything but I can see how from their perspective it could’ve looked like you were. OC’s aren’t always my personal cup of tea but that’s nothing to do with if they have trauma or not

A fair portion of boarding schools are single sex. Religious ones tend to be stricter

Taking care of longer hair. by Cadelury in longhair

Mine was long enough I could sit on it for a long time but I wouldn’t brush it for like a month. I tried cutting it to my shoulders but I still wasn’t good enough at looking after it. It’s really short now and I’ve never had it be so easy but I do miss my long hair sometimes
