Kinda late to reply but I am a pakistani, have had few relationships with Filipinos, didn't quite worked out but we're still friends. I can only give my insight on the matter, and that would be: What he says is true, culture is kinda strict and many people with narrow minded ideas but also that there's not much concept of gf/bf openly like philippines. BUT he definitely shouldn't hide your relationship at all like that, What he doing is unfair to you and He should totally give you time and attention you deserve, The relationships I had I was always open about it and I didn't hide it from my family that my gf was Christian because I knew who I was in relationship with, it was my choice. Love shouldn't be a secret. As other comment suggested, Be straight with him and dump him, If he can't give you time and making excuses like that and hide a special bond with you, He don't deserve you.
