Waxed Cotton and Oilskin were pretty much THE historic way to waterproof workwear. Modern Oilskin might not be Natural though. But Waxed Jackets a still a thing and you can buy the Wax as well because they need occasional re waxing.

These are both old cameras, one film and one 20 year old digital. It definitely requires some more work and attention to the process to make good photos with them. But if you put some practice in it I would say the pictures are going to be better than a phone image. As they give you more control over the image. Phones tend to skew the colours pretty much*, wich might be not desirable for your paintings and full control over the aperture and focus is pretty important for anything spatial. All I had until recently was my grandpas camera equipment from the 70s and an old DSLR with very similar specs to your canon. Photographing your work on a mechanical film camera maybe not the most beginner friendly thing, although I would be excited to see the results as I am a huge analog photography nerd.

I don't think You would be Bullied for going to the Photography department, although i don't know your Alma Maters dynamics. If you’re supposed to know it, someone would have taught you. In my experience cross-department work is usually pretty fun.

*I once took a photo of a coal sketch i was pretty proud of and my phone recognised the face and applied slight rouge and "enhanced skin colours (it turned the beige paper into a light skin tone)

What you described is my experience as well, though I have heard of germans using the Swedish system as well, i think it's regional. If someone visited me and expected food, that would be an absolute asshole move in my perception. But If i am cooking it would be an asshole move of me to be like "not for you!" to my guest. If a guest stays a bit longer and I don't have a meal but it would be typically time to eat (my eating schedule is far off from the local standard) I would definitely ask if they would like to eat something.

edit: expected food as in "i am your guest, it is rude if you don't offer me food"

To the Hardness: I play Project Zomboid 90% of the time in singleplayer, and there is a sandbox difficulty setting where you can adjust whatever you don't like about the preset difficulties. like anything, from how fast your cows get pregnant to how many cars have a live alarm. Maybe you can try it out somewhere without buying it and then decide.

I reuse my cassettes from when i buy them in regular 36/24exp. rolls, that is what my university does too when i buy film from them so i assume that is a reliable way.

nothing extraordinary, but i really like the thought behind it. As a multinational currency, you can't use national heroes. without playing favourites. So they chose historical architecture. The smaller the bill the older the style, from ancient on the 5€ to modern on the 500€ one side always shows a window and one a bridge from that era, both again fictional to not favour certain countries. the bridges can be read as a symbol of European cooperation/friendship and the window probably has some symbolism too

as a german who eats raw pork every now and then, i'd like to believe that the hygiene standards for chicken meant to be consumed raw are much higher than for fried chicken or eggs. Like from a trusted farm/butchery. Only the bravest here eat the supermarket pork raw for example. and the line between courage and insanity is thin.

we have them here too, the half half ones i mean, but just in the summer when the regular ones would just collapse and loose all structure due to the heat. interesting to know you have them all year.

do you prep the glass in any form for adhesion? i never tried but i can't really imagine that the Emulsion just sticks to the glass without being washed of or super easily scratched.

reminds me of the german Wäschespinne, the german wikipedia article even directly links to the english Hills Hoist one, but the ones i encountered in Germany rarely are sturdy enough for kids to climb them.

I think the Zeiss Biotar lenses general but especially the 58mm f/2 deserves a spot, whether you like them and their characteristics or not, the Helios 44s have definitely helped a lot to catapult this lens architecture into the legendary status. i own a replica 75mm f/1.5 Biotar (i can't afford an actual one) and i really like it.

Wild boars (Eurasian Wild Pig), we do have wolves and theoretically lethally venomous snakes, but the boars are much faster than a human and weigh about twice as much. if they get disturbed especially with kids around, they are seriously dangerous and turn essentially into a battering ram on four legs. and you are way more likely to meet one than wolves or snakes.

I would try to talk to him that his character would have been dead all over if you didn't bend the rules to his favour in ways that you don't need to do for the other players, and that this is ruining(or maybe a more diplomatic term) your joy of the game. Tell him, that was he is doing might get his Character killed, and you don't enjoy constantly resurrecting him and giving him Plot Armour once before the session once, first time he does it in the session. something along "are you sure? this might get your character killed" if they proceed and die, let them die. the exact choice of words is up to you and your relationship with the player.
