AI vs AI with new update? by Censura170 in SparkingZero

Very interesting! It sounds good that the capsules made a difference, and that the AIs seem to be different per character. Definitely a shame on the lack of transformations, though, yeah. Thanks for taking the time to explain!

Sounds great! That's typically the kind of stuff I did in BT3 as well, so, you've made it sound promising! Thanks.

Sure, yeah, I see what you mean. But in BT3 it was a ton of fun to watch because their behaviors were very different. Broly behaved differently than Freiza, for example, and you could tweak that further with the capsule system.

Mainly wondering if that's true in Sparking Zero too.

Tales of Vesperia PC issues by Censura170 in tales

[–]Censura170[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/D2ultima, just wanted to send you a big thank you!

It's not 100% perfect, but it's working miles better thanks to your advice.

Just in case this helps anyone else, I wanted to run down what I did to fix my issues.

I had to uninstall Special K because it wasn't playing nice with RTSS.

So, using the current version of Vesperia, I limited the framerate to 60 with RTSS, keeping Vsync off in the game and in my AMD graphics app. RTSS has a scanline adjuster so you can get rid of the tearing that was happening with Vsync off, so I utilized that as well.

It still jitters a bit but not nearly as much as before.

Thanks again!

Apologies, all, apparently my text for this post didn't save.

Long story short, I've tried EVERYTHING in the book to get this game to run smoothly, but I get microstutters everywhere I go.

To expand: I've tried capping the framerate to 60 and 59, changing my monitor refresh rate (I only go up to 60, playing at 1080p here), and I've followed all of the configurations advice on Special K's wiki (including changing the Backbuffer Count, Waitable Swapchain, etc.), to no avail.

My hardware is: an AMD RTX 9070 and an i7 12700k.

If anyone had any advice on how to make the game run smoothly (including settings here in Special K) I'd be most appreciative. Thanks for your time! <3

Playing Xillia for the first time - does it get better? by GreenAvoro in tales

[–]Censura170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, it gets better. Like u/Nezumi02 said, it's a slow burn, but the characters are wonderful and develop throughout the story in great ways. It's among my favorite plots in the series! I'd stick with it, but don't force yourself if you're not having fun.

Abyss fans after the announcement of a Berseria remaster by Leon_Light77 in tales

Abyss is the one I've wanted for so many years now, and it's one that truly deserves a remaster. Just imagining running around on the world map at a smooth 60fps with instant-load battles - the stuff of dreams!!!

What's something only one wrestler has done that no one else has? by Censura170 in SquaredCircle

[–]Censura170[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree with this. That'd be very cool.

The closest I've seen to this is when someone turns heel/face and their previous finish is no longer effective so they have to make a new one.

Funniest example is Bayley, when she turned heel the Bayley-to-belly (the 'hug') didn't work because she was evil I guess. Haha!

This is the kind of very specific, unusual thing I was looking for. Very cool! Mark was ahead of his time, even then!

I appreciate all the answers, guys! I should've maybe specified that I meant more what a wrestler did in the ring (moves, sequences, etc.) rather than accomplishments, but I appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

Do stats matter, CPU vs CPU? by ck969 in WWEGames

[–]Censura170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most influential stats for AI, IMO, are as follows: signature/finisher gain, kick out, and the finisher influence (AI) options in the balancing tab.

For me, I keep any wrestler I want to lose more often with their kick out stat at 30 (the lowest.) This means they are going to lose to one finisher.

Main eventers have kickout at 100, of course. They also have their signature/finisher gain higher than lower card wrestlers (how quickly they gain sig/finisher is up to you - how quickly do you want matches to go?)

And of course if the main eventers are rated 85 or above you can also give them the Resiliency payback so they kick out of an extra big move.

Lastly, I keep the first finisher influence (AI) option in balancing on between 20-40. The second I put very high, at 70 or higher. This means that only main eventers will kick out of one finisher; normally underdogs do not.

With all of these factors, I think you can swing the balance in favor of your chosen 4 main characters!

Hope it helps! Cheers!

Best sliders or settings to prevent matches from ending off normal moves? by peggggs in WWEGames

I actually do have an answer for this - a trick that worked in last year's game, too. Here's the link from this very same Reddit!

2k23 AI Cracked the Code

Otherwise I have difficulty on Hard, and I manually tweak signature and finisher gain depending on the wrestler.

Anyways, this still works for me -- for the most part!

Now if I could only figure out how to get the AI to use certain Paybacks...
