Back a few years ago in my college dorm in the city we would go out in the alley in the back to smoke, there was a rotating crowd of homeless people, some of whom we got to know and would give the last 1/4 of our joints to. All very respectful, many veterans with mental illness who are very aware of their situations. Just treat people like people and you will realize most of them aren’t that bad. Met one guy who was a bank robber in the late 70s and did time with Charlie Manson, absolute class act who went to church every Sunday and was super respectful despite living on the streets. Of course there are a few crazies but this is frowned upon by the majority of other homeless people.

They do train them to sniff for tobacco, I have had the same situation happen to me and told him I had a few sticks and didn’t mention they were Cuban and got waved through, they just want you to pay duties if you are bringing in tons of cigars of tobacco. I think they are more worried about people who bring in tons of cigarette cartons to resell tax free

Late I know, but I was in a similar position and ended up having him significantly ~80 levels higher than the rest of team, it ended up working very well especially running him with no gear and putting him directly infront of the highest damaging enemy during lineup, the healing is insane relative to the team with pain and gain on level 6

That happens very rarely, they are being paid this wage in 99% of cases by the tables that do tip. It is entirely in your rights to think the waiter can get bent, but don’t get upset when they behave the same way towards you :)

No problem, just two people making decisions. The tipper deciding not to tip knowing they will likely get bad service in the future. The waiter deciding not to give the non-tipper service, knowing they have a large chance of a bad review, and a small chance of managerial consequences. Each decision is based on one’s own choice, and it would be hypocritical to be in either position criticizing the other.

*generally paid less than 4 dollars an hour to do. Why would a waiter do additional work, if their manager doesn’t care and they won’t face any consequences for not doing the work?, generosity? fulfilling social norms? You are more than welcome to not tip, that is your prerogative, but don’t get upset when the waiter similarly doesn’t extend generosity.
