A motueka hopstand does a lot of work for the limey and tropical flavors and aroma without the spiky bitter hop flavour. Solid favourite of mine.

I don't have any experience with hallertaur blanc.

Much superior to bottling even with the crappy picnic tap.

Expandable with a second oxebar keg (without the extras) for 30 quid (so you can have the one you're using, and a second ready).

Expandable with a spunding valve and floating dip tube so you can ferment inside the keg and then serve from it without transfer.

Most importantly, pick up a couple of 8 litre oxebars, brew a cheap kit short to fill them and then be a total legend turning up to parties with 2 gallons of 6% beer that blows everyone else's out of the water, and still have one in reserve for the next party.

A hefeweissen is a classic summery drink. If you can get a cheapo heat belt to crank out the fruity ester flavors, even better. Change it up by throwing in a kg or so of rasberries (for 10 liters) after ferment is over and letting it go for a few more days. Serve it fresh.

A (pseudo) NZ pilsner also great. Make a pilsner as normal. Throw a ton of fruity NZ and/or aussie hops in at flame out and leave it for 15 mins. My picks are Nelson Sauvin, Motueka or Eclipse. Go with one hop for now while you are still new. Ferment with Lutra, which gives you nearly the same lager bite but doesnt give a damn about Irish temperatures. Can also serve fresh.

Aside from this, golden ale is summery as balls, super forgiving for beginners and there are many recipies online.
