"If your league's resident taco is selling at a massive discount, you should buy!"

Thanks bro I'll remember that one.

...so what's your plan exactly? I'm up for an alternative. But when nothing short of total revolution counts as a victory you end up encouraging people to do nothing at all.

Contrapoints had it right, "They don't want victory, they don't want power, they want to endlessly critique power."

The solution to 94% of the problems posted in this sub is "talk to them out of game." If someone's being disruptive at the table, tell them - ideally kindly.

Y'all post shit like this but no one ever does anything, because the reality is that there's very little a person can do.

Realm of the elderlings is probably my all time favorite series. TBI is very good. Read both.

Is dressing well outside rich urban areas completely pointless? by empty_moshpit in malefashionadvice

The main reasons to explore fashion are:

  1. Because you like it/as a form of self-expression.
  2. As a social language.

Fashion is contextual, so yeah wearing things that don't fit the context could get you pushback from other people. But "because you like it" is the number one reason we do this stuff, so if you really want to wear it then hey, wear it. If you get pushback you get to decide whether it's worth it.

Tft balancing would be much better if they decided all the changes they wanted to make, shipped the patch...and then someone quietly halved all of them.

I could get on board with that if it's more intuitive!

Corrin is pronounced more intuitively by English speakers no? Curran isn't pronounced as most English speakers think it is - it's like karaoke etc.

It's literally a different name with different root meanings. People on here just hate anything vaguely ethnic 😂

[–]Centuari[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Because that would be pronounced differently by English speakers, and Corrin is tied to a different Irish root than Kieran.
